Wrong section?
Man! Help the guy!
It's a Broadband type related query!
And I'll say what I've said before, specifically to you; IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, DONT SAY IT.
I think you just post your useless posts to add to your post count!
People have problems with WebAfrica or OpenWeb and post here... why don't I ever see you posting "Why Don't you use their forums?!?!"
You keep up your stupid posts and I promise you; you're going to be the FIRST person I add to my ignore list on myADSL, your posts are so useless, it's like reading something from Telkom/Eskom.![]()
I did and got no response whereas generally here i get a fast response to questions i may have and if you have a problem with it tough titties!!!
As to wrong section my apologies - where should it have been in?
it ain't broadband related. Usenet has been around far longer than broadband. I have no sympathy for rude people who don't make an attempt to use the proper channels, or at the very least use the damn search function.
@ Highflyer_GP i am sure at one time in the far distant past you too knew nothing about something and asked questions that intolerant fools who thought they knew everything scoffed at your stupidity. I apologized already for posting in the wrong section - and as i asked this question on their forum a while back and got no response i tried here. As for a chat room i obviously missed that link on their site for i am sure that if i had seen it i damn sure would have used it instead asking for help from a schmuck like you!
And the repercussions are evident. The poor speeds are a direct result of these discussions.Having said that;
We discuss everything here on myADSL from ADSL to Eskom to Love to whatever; any topic (placed in the correct category) goes on myADSL - even NEWS SERVERS, EVEN TORRENTS - whatever.![]()
No, everybody has access to usenet. Dialup, ISDN, 3G/HSDPA, iBurst etc.I tend to think it is; simply because;
1. It might be considered Usenet BUT
2. How do we get access to it; we use our ADSL line which thus makes it broadband, even in the sense that we can 'talk' about it.
There was never a need for caching before people flocked in their thousands. Everything went full speed, irrespective of time of day, and irrespective of cached or uncached.Lots of uses helps cache things faster on news servers... I dunno how you can say it slows things down?!?
And more people doesn't mean more caching, it means shorter retention periods on existing cached items.
I dunno how you can say it slows things down?!?
