If you're reading the newspeak on any Media24 website, then you're a fool.
Additionally, if you are suckered into believing any of the prole comments, as well being compelled to participate in said flamefest.

I do think the less obvious intent is to stifle criticism of #1 and his party.

They do need to change the system to eliminate the trolls, but not by removing comments entirely. Perhaps a reddit style system should be adopted.. Comments should be displayed by the number of points (upvote/downvote ratio), and not by time posted. That way, the comments that actually contribute something are listed at the top. Then, comments that score below a minimum threshold (upvote/downvote ratio) should be hidden. That should hide all the troll comments.

A system like that works where there are enough people who will downvote the ranting racists. Many times though that won't happen though. The result is that the ranting racists upvote each other.

The Sowetan is just as bad, except from a different perspective.

The problem with News24 is that they write a load of rubbish in their articles, which provokes people into responding. So now the only thing we see is their poor journalism and their own persepctive and opinions.
