Agreed, post duly amended.
Yeah... that shows more iGnorance as a Nexus device is not the same as any other Android device. It is a complete user experience designed by a single company, much like Apple does, only better.

Comparison of prices? It would be interesting to know what the retail prices will be.

And the iphone takes the last position as expected. Full HD displays are a new thing for them in 2014 :D :D

Even FHD is overkill for a phone. It's the same as UHD TVs - but of course, every Jones thinks they need it.

Overkill or not they are only getting it now. And they shall follow up with Qhd in four years' time :D

A minute fraction of iPhone users are concerned about that. And sensibly, higher than Retina resolution is rather unnecessary.

I think it comes down to competition. Android manufacturers use specs to compete with each other. Apple has no competition, nothing else runs iOS, and they know it's a gimmick.

Gimmick, Monopoly - take your pick.

Obviously both. No competition means no competing on specs (among other things). The fact that Apple stops at FHD in itself shows how much of a gimmick ultra resolution is. Just like TVs.

They are also slowing down the rate of change at which technology evolves, thereby profiting for longer. A very astute business move.

And they can, because they have iOS.

Samsung and others wish they had what Apple has.

Huawei has an iOS like UI on top of Android - best of both. Plus their phones look very much like iPhones but are of a much higher build quality. Have a look here http://www.slashgear.com/huawei-ascend-p6-vs-iphone-5-do-similarities-go-just-skin-deep-18286871/ the similarities are not just on the outside, the UI is beautiful and simple. The new Emotion UI 2.3 on Andriod 4.4.2 is even better.

Samsung and the abomination they created called TouchWiz will never come close. Nexus is the only pure and natural way to do it right and everything just works because it is all done by Google.

Let's talk when they have what Apple has. When, one day, Android will be reserved to an OS for budget phones for those who cannot afford iOS and/or other manufacturer-OS devices.

If you want an all round manufacturer driven device then get a Nexus. If you want the iOS user experience but in a better than apple quality device then the Huawei Ascend P range is for you.

So to put it short, no one has what apple has, Blackberry and Nokia did - but their dead now. You need way more than that if you want to build something worthwhile.

:D

Android cannot match the iOS experience.

Ironically Nokias use Microsoft Windows now...

Anyway, that spec comparison is odd, and incorrect.

Why is the G3 the only one listed as possessing OIS? Also, the iPhone 6 Plus battery is known to be 2915mAh according to the iFixit teardown, with the RAM being 1GB, not 2GB. You're confusing it with the iPad Air 2.

This is subjective, though, and easily reversible given the requirements of the user.

+1

If you just like a simple UI with a bunch of icons to tap + a wallpaper, then iOS is perfect for you.

That's why it works for most Americans. :D
