I believe so, but I doubt that people will be jumping ship for it. I think people enjoy iOS too much, and the only equivalent they could use would be something very similar, which I don't think Android will ever be. I'd be interested in a Nexus in the future, as long as it can offer the complete package including the best camera and camera app, the way iPhone/iOS does it.

I also don't think that Android will become more similar to iOS, if anything, it may be the other way around. By and large, Android is functionally mature. Releases like Lollipop bring a lot of the polish and overall sense of completion that is inherent to iOS.

6 or 5s 64GB, I reckon. Only too happy with my 5s 16GB. You?

Why not a 6 Plus? I'll be getting the Nexus 6- others may hate the size, but it is an absolute drawcard for me.

I know what you meant, but it's simply not true. I doubt that Android will ever be as easy to use, bulletproof and optimised out-of-the-box for the average user as iOS.

I meant that in jest :)

But I agree. Android won't ever be as easy to use out of the box as iOS is, simply because it is a lot more powerful and customisable.

I think... hm.. I think I'd actually prefer a Nexus6 over an iPhone 6+, if the camera was up to the same standard. Mainly that's because of the 2560 vs 1080 screen, less wasted phone space and $400 pricing delta. But I do not want a phablet; I didn't want one 4 years ago and I'm no closer to wanting one now.

I've got big hopes for the camera as well. The hardware has been good enough for years now- it's the underlying software that has been the biggest issue.

However, I do actually want a phablet now. I've owned one before (at a time where I absolutely hated the subset) and it grew on me in a way that I did not expect. The benefits of a larger screen considerably outweighed the negatives. Pocketability was my biggest concern, but I had no issues on that front at all.

And this was the considerably more bulky Note 2 I'm referring to here, which had a relatively thick case on it to boot. It made my experience more of a surprise, because I went from an iPhone 5 to that behemoth.

I see the Nexus 6, with that QHD screen and dual front stereo speakers, and I think that my video watching experience will improve immensely on that device. Never mind gaming.

First preference is a contract locally. Otherwise, I will go the Orange route, if no other suppliers stock it locally.

If the pre-order prices (before they disappeared) are any indication- it is still cheaper than the Note 4 (which is an insanely impressive device).
