How true is this :

I discussed this with a friend of mine and he said: "that chick who got f*@ked by everyone in the neighborhood when she was still young and fresh, and was drunk every weekend but got married in her late 30s with 2 kids from different fathers. Who do you think married her? A nice guy"

Meh, never had a problem landing girls myself, does that make me not a nice guy?

I don't think so, all you really need is good looks, confidence (which I am balls deep in) and a sense of humour.

If you're sexy those so called girls getting drunk every weekend will come to you.

I think what the OP meant was that good guys finish last (not whoring around). Take for example my point, I work in East Africa and I am one of those guys that will help you should you need help. In Africa ive noticed that the second you show this good side, people try and take advantage of you. So my question is , why do i have to be a dick, to climb the corporate ladder?
 
I use to believe I was the "nice guy" and thats why I always came last. Then one day I accepted reality and realised it was not because I was nice, it was because I was pathetic.

Chicks don't dig pathetic guys. They cannot stand a guy who is not a man, a guy that cannot stand up for himself, a guy who cannot stand up for his lady. They want a man to make decisions for them , tell them what to do and be the hunter in the family.

Thats why women go for bastards as they are more "man" in their left small toe than what a "nice guy" is in his entire life.

We have a "nice guy" friend who is in his 40s and the sequel to 40yr Old Virgin will be about his life. He is so nice that women get frustrated with him. I actually pity this guy and wish he grow a set one day.

+ 1 the too nice guys are usually the ones that are only nice because they want something. They usually have a nasty streak

Yep. It's not a case of nice guys finishing last, it's a case of passive-aggressive, push overs finishing last. In every area of achievement or attainment it's the one that values themselves the most that gets what they want. This is as it should be. You can't give any value unless you, at the very least, know what you want and deserve and how you're going to get it.

Edit: If you give more than you can afford (be that financially or emotionally) you will lose. Real nice guys (as opposed to losers who whine about finishing last) give what they can afford in abundance to those who deserve it.

Good guys vs Nice guys

the "nice" guys are usually the ones who complain when they get friendzoned. These guys are arseholes. They think they're the heroes in the tragic drama, but they don't play by the rules. They think if they stay friends with a girl they like long enough, then the girl is obligated to fall for them. When the girl maintains the friendship and gets together with a good guy, then the nice guy feels cheated - as if he somehow deserved her love. This is utter B.S. Be friends with a girl because you enjoy her company, not because you'll do anything to have her suck you off.

Nice guys are pathetic. I know, I was one.

I must admit I am that boring guy, and at the same time not achieving at life.
However I am studying and working on improving my skills & looking at trying some business ventures...which I wouldn't do for the last few years.
 
that being said, some people find more to life than just having a relationship and doing the ordinary thing.

Exactly this.

Women are not a priority in my life. I focus on my dirt bikes, scuba diving, gaming & doing stuff that makes ME happy - rather than stuff that I think girls might be attracted to.

If you depend on other people for your happiness, then you're in for a bad time.

I also find that most people who are married complain all the time and spend their entire life working towards their children.

I worked with girls who got knocked up by the first idiot after they finished school. They were pregnant at 19, 20, 23 etc. They basically pissed away their lives, because now they have to work for their children. There is no way that I could sustain a family at that age (I probably can if I tried too). That isn't happiness.
