Night Surfer Torrents Throttle?

I've been experiencing poor speeds when downloading torrents. The max speed I get on speedtest is 1.7MB/s. I stream 1080p videos without any issues and downloads from MEGA/Zippyshare/Google Drive and the like hit the max speeds. But with torrents lately the speeds hit +-500KB/s then drop, sometimes the download just stops.

This has lead me to believe Telkom is now throttling torrents because when the 500GB/R50 was launched I was getting full speeds. Any of you guys having similar issues? I'm really hoping Telkom is not the problem, it's something else.

I've been saying it for months. I'm throttled to 2MB/s from 6MB/s no matter which torrent I download but seems like if i Download multiple torrents at the same time I get to around 3~4MB/s. Funny thing is I can stream a 1080p video smoothly simultaneously with no buffering.

I've just come to terms with it...2MB/s is not at all horrible anyways it just means instead of Downloading 60+GB per night you download 30gb at best.

30GB per night out of 500GB is a bargain for 50 bucks..

Sometimes we have to accept a bargain is with T&C's :)

F**k! You are lucky. I download over http with a Download Manager. Out of 30 days, I am able to download 5 days after 23:59. For some reason Telkom keeps shutting down at midnight, then comes back on and my IP is changed. All downloads are blocked. But, the few days I am able to download, my speeds are between 40 and 60kbps.

At 07:00 the speeds suddenly jumps back to 2-3mbps.
 
Been getting my 1.5MB/s ever since. Can't complain. 20-25 odd GB per night.

Its not funny. They shaping peer to peer and streaming is not.
 
Why isn't there a system in place for LTE consumers to be able to pay for consistent Bandwidth, Unshaped data? No matter the Usage , congestion etc ala Fibre.

I know Crystal web lets you pay for unshaped data but that's AdSL.

Because Telkom cannot offer such service.

It's backward compatible. So if everyone signs up with Telkom, all of them can use the LTE. It's not only for a few select.

Sucks though. I'd be willing to pay for a fast and consistent LTE bandwidth connection in all honesty.
