Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

Thanks all, some really good recommendations here.

Fire Emblem - 3 Houses for a bit of JRPG action.
Then also Stardew Valley, you can sink a lot of time into that (and it also has full coop where you share a farm).

So, its also available on other platforms, but Sonic Mania is a blast. I'd imagine it would be well suited to the Switch.

You can also get the Pokemon games - you and your wife can get the matched pairs. For instance, you could get Pokemon Sword and she can get Pokemon Shield. They are the same games, the difference being that some Pokemon are only available in Sword and some are only available in Shield. So, it encourages trading Pokemon between matched game pairs.

Thanks for the heads-up about the sale that was on. I bought a few items, but so far I've only played Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, it's really good.

Regarding price increase, I am looking into controller alternatives as my right Joy-Con is giving me drifting issues and boy the price increase is noticeable. Joy-cons were around R1200 and now seem to be R1600 if you are lucky and seen them up to close to R2500 even!

Will look into seeing if I can repair my Joy-Con first

I am looking into controller options, see what decent wireless ones I can find. Will take a walk to Games4u at lunch time.

But I like my Joy-Cons to be honest. Repairing the drift is probably my preferred as there really isn't anything wring with them other than the drift

Same, I just want to fix my drift issue. Nothing like playing ACNH and as soon as you hit the rocks the avatar changing positions.
I have 2 Pro controllers and wanted to get:

However, it looks like Zelda is smoking from her throat so I didnt buy

So went to Games4u and they couldn't assist much. They didn't seem too clued up and was fobbed off to a supplier. Made the long trek to BT Games and same issue, except they referred me to Games.com by Hyper by the Sea. I gave them a call to find out if they can assist with the Joy Con, they may be able to repair the drift but will have to go in and check.

These gaming stores don't seem too helpful for anything besides Xbox or Playstation. They have a token shelf of Nintendo stuff but don't seem to know much about it.
