Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

Sooo glad I don't suffer from FOMO, and I can only play it well after the launch.

Only giving it to the Mrs on the 14th and then wait for her to finish it before I have a go.

Not exactly FOMO, a lot of us have been waiting for this game since it was announced in February 2019. BOTW is maybe my favourite game of all time.

There is I can wait till it drops on console, ok.
and then there is let me break the law, download and emulate some buggy set-up so I can get some.

The latter is more FOMO than anything else :)

:D Yea you aren't wrong about the emulation thing. It's not the best experience.

The patch makes it possible to play 30fps more or less stable. 60fps is way out of reach still. Big improvement though.

That was quick. Would Yuzu make a difference?

Yuzu doesn't even play it yet. I've preferred Ryujinx for a while now. It got me through Metroid Dread very nicely. The Canary builds are awesome, they already patched up some issues.

Nice to know, thanks!

How's the 60fps patch? Does it break the game during cutscenes?

60fps is not playable on my CPU at least, and I have a half decent PC. I can't get more than 30 so everything runs in slow motion. 30fps is practically perfect however, at least at native resolution. I have it set up with motion controls via my Pro Controller and it's a real pleasure. Freesync also makes it feel smoother than it really is.

I just discovered Ryujinx supports FSR upscaling.. and it basically brings the framerate on 30fps up to very stable. I should actually try that with 60fps and see.

Edit: Ok after testing, even with fsr on it can't get more than around 36fps in outdoors areas. Best to stick with 30fps for now till they've done some more optimization.

Update 1.1.0 for Zelda TOTK has released on questionable sites. Requires Switch firmware 16.0.0 minimum.

Don't know what it resolves but it's probably (hopefully) performance related. Will download later
