Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

Dunno... People seem quite happy with playability and storyline on Switch. Does it really make it less enjoyable?

I'm thinking this is different strokes for different folks. I don't feel deprived...

I played Witcher 3 when it came out on PS4 and loved it. So much so I got the Switch edition to give it another a spin, mostly on the handheld this time and never really noticed a difference. TBF I only did a few hours because I'd already played it and it didn't hold the same pull as it did first time, but yeah, I can't really think of any differences that stopped me in my tracks.

It's been discussed a few times here, but Nintendo have never been about photo realistic close ups of individual hairs in a snipers eyebrows. Maybe that holds them back somewhat when many big games avoid porting to them, but for me and many more it's what makes them stand out and why we have 4 Switches on our house.

Well, I'm also the guy that obsesses about every new handheld emulator and the differences in specs between all the Steam Deck versions. I watch DF videos to analyse performance and I will just emulate a Switch game because I like the performance better on my PC.

Anyway all I'm really saying is that a more powerful Switch would be amazing. I don't think that's too controversial.

I agree. Switch for me is about the exclusives, the portability is irrelevant for my use case
I don't even play undocked. I feel like a retard for buying an OLED Switch as well. When my launch Switch was still working perfectly fine. I gave my launch Switch to my sister and she doesn't play undocked either. She just plays Pokemon and animal crossing docked the whole time in docked mode as well. And all my Switch games are just exclusives as well.

Doing some window shopping and came across this controller. Great design, cheap too

Don't cheap out, go pro, like in 8bitdo pro

I'm looking for something on the cheaper side, also want something that looks cool. I have a Zelda themed one that looks great.

If it's a piece of crap, it's only R500 I guess. Reviews of this look decent at least

So it finally arrived. It's a little smaller than expected but have small hands so it still feels good to hold. The buttons and triggers all feel good when pressed. Overall, happy with the purchase

Every *bleeping* time you buy something, it goes on promotion thereafter. To be fair mine was still on promo at R499, but still

Just picked up Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. I really enjoyed the first one so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into this.

So far the graphics are gorgeous on the OLED screen and I'm interested to see what the movement freedom brings in terms of combat possibilities. I think there's less graphical detail than the grid system of the first game but it gives you much better camera control.

Really enjoying Sparks of Hope. I read that the difficulty level is too easy, so I set it to challenging from the outset and I'm glad I did. Battles are fantastic with a ton of depth, and your strategic choices really matter. Also quite impressed with the new graphical style, even though the textures are less detailed, it's more dynamic and vibrant.

I enjoyed the first Mario+Rabbids. Probably wait for a price drop before picking up the second one though

What are you playing atm? There's a ton of good games out recently. Bayonetta 3 also looks amazing and so does Xenoblade but those games aren't really my thing. I also got back into Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It's a lot of fun.

A little more on the Xbox these days though when on the Switch I'm usually running through Hades. The price of the games is a little high unfortunately. Busy saving towards Tears of the Kingdom and when that releases, the Xbox is sure to collect dust for a while
