Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

Have been thinking about BOTW.
A game I own, but probably only played a couple of hours.

Anyone played it on PC emulator at 4K @ 60fps?

Bought Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2 on Switch

I am actually impressed at how good it looks and runs. I know its an old PS2 game but playing it handheld at 60 FPS is as smooth as butter. Even docked it looks amazing.

Would recommend if you into ARPG's

It works brilliantly on PC. I had a better experience with CEMU than Switch emus, but the Seitch emus have come a long way since then so ymmv. But CEMU has a ton of tweaks as well like dof, experimental shaders, etc.

On PS2 it was a technical marvel. The water effects were next level.

Yeah. Was really easy to get running with CEMU with the quality of life improvements (resolution, framerate, etc)

But then I go stuck into Final Fantasy 7 Remake…

Contemplating to pull the trigger on MK11ultimate switch. Yeah, I got it on PC and Xbox but with the loadshedding it's a nice toy to chill on the couch and jam.

Probs is it R600 lowest :(

How about R239.70 on the eShop?

Taking R600 budget can then also add

That's the standard version, the ultimate has all the story and characters to choose from.

I'll check the link out, thanks :)

Yeah was the best I can do if you want it right now, you kinda missed the Ultimate edition Sale (R278) by 4 days.

Looking at the regular price drop I would then say hang on till end of the month instead:

Unbelievable, congrats Nintendo. Been a happy owner since the first month it released and owned three variants so far.

I hope they release Switch 2 this year though

/confesses to not having finished BoTW

Switch (original) languishing on my bedside table.

Exactly 4 months till the release BOTW2. Can’t wait.

Although I gotta say it’s looking increasingly likely that it won’t launch alongside Switch2 like everyone thought. I would have bet good money on it. The graphics aren’t going to have aged well I can already tell. Won’t stop me playing the hell out of it though.

I'm actually hoping it runs and looks at least a little better. Considering that BOTW was initially meant for the Wii U it was designed for a less powerful console. As a Switch exclusive, 6 odd years of learning to squeeze every ounce out of the Switch, you never know.

Not expecting Series X/PS5 visuals, obviously, but a fresh coat of paint could make it look quite good. The frame rate in the Korok Forest was awful. I'm sure they will have in run/look even a little better

I actually like the original. It wouldn't disappoint me in the least if it was on a par. The overall atmosphere is what they did right. Music, sound effects and graphics. I wouldn't want Pixar to go hyper-realistic with anything they produce...
Haven't played BOTW yet.... mine is in the mail, that and Metroid Dread was shipped yesterday.

But I have played Immortals: Fenyx Rising on Xbox and if its anything like that then I know I will enjoy it. I know a lot of people critized Fenyx to be too close to BOTW.

I'm sure it will look better. The video footage already looks better than the original, especially the dynamic clouds. But there's only so much you can really do with the Switch hardware. Not looking forward to constant frame stutter and 900p/sub-720p visuals. Anyway all those gripes disappear when you start playing it I know.

The combat in Immortals: Fenyx Rising gets quite fun. It's starts off rather meh but as you level up and get new abilities the combat is definitely a highlight.

The world isn't quite is fleshed out as in BOTW but still pleasant enough to explore. It's a fun BOTW clone, would recommend

Ooh... Going to check out Fenyx ta!

Hold out for gold edition sale again

You just missed it 7 Jan

Well unless you one of them physical types.

I loved it but also an Assassins creed fan and combat is very similar

Anyone know how to increase the download speed via wifi on the switch?

Done the whole MTU change but jeez it's slow omfg!
