So it sold like crazy because of breath of the wild? Strange

Its strange, because its not always a console sells quickly because of a title. Generally you wont find Sony Or Microsoft sales dependent on a title, its normally the hardware that sells on its own.
That's normally the hardware is generally capable. The switch apparently struggles at 900p when plugged in via the dock for Zelda. Its strange, because its not always a console sells quickly because of a title. Strategicaly Nintendo played a blinder with releasing Zelda early. If they hadnt, i guarantee the sales wouldnt have hit that much.I don't think that's very accurate. but nevertheless, the hardware of this thing is quite amazing in person. I can't say I got it because of Zelda alone, but I wouldn't have gotten it now if Zelda hadn't been there, put it that way. There's some other nice looking games but nothing that would convince me to shell out the money for it.

Been playing it since this afternoon, I just got out of the plateau and got a horse. Love the way you can get creative with the physics and natural world systems and it all somehow works as you'd expect. And the animations of all the animals are so detailed. But man nothing beats playing it in bed on the handheld, with my wife watching TV.Zelda BOTW has woken my sleeping Wii U up. Loving the controls - how are you finding it Cerebus?
Love the new jump button - and it has a zelda meets assassins creed feel to it.

Nintendo plans to produce at least 16 million Switch consoles in the financial year starting this April, reports The Wall Street Journal, which claims this represents a doubling of the company’s initial plans on the back of strong demand. The only official indication of Switch sales to date is that Nintendo planned to ship 2 million units this month following its launch on March 3rd, though a WSJ source claims the true number may be 2.5 million or more.
I'm out of the country so haven't seen it, but my son has been playing it on the Wii U. There are not enough superlatives to describe his reviewIm also gonna get this on the Wii U. No lt commiting to the switch just yet.

I can't wait to see it. Although I won't get to play it for some time I'd imagine as there's a queue of 3 kids in front of me.It's all I want to do right now. I've often struggled with open world games like Skyrim/Witcher/Far Cry because the number of possibilities overwhelms the main quest, and I never know which systems I want to delve into. Somehow BOTW gets that balance right, where you always know what you have to do but you wander off and get distracted by the world, go on side missions to upgrade your gear or just explore which is immensely rewarding, then decide to delve back into the main story.

Man, I'd just love to see this on the 3ds. Of course no chance, but we can dream.
Not yet. I'm actually playing A Link to the Past on 3ds although it's my plan to do next.Did you play Link Between Worlds? I have heard very good things about it.

I home brewed my original 3ds a few weeks ago and opened up to the snes catalogue which Nintendo decided didn't run on the old ones
Edit: runs like a dream of course. Another strange decision by Nintendo because rather than paying a few rand for the old snes games on the virtual console, I'm playing them for free.
Good question, my son set it up+1 on the homebrew - Gateway? MT Cart?

Good question, my son set it up
I don't have the console with me but I enter through the sound recording app on the 3ds. Press ok a couple of times and then run SNES9x.
Works like a charm on every game I've tried.
Sorry for OT![]()
