No Absa app this year

Absa will launch its mobile banking app in Q1 2013, promising a more integrated and broader approach to mobile banking than what other banks' current platforms offer. more

Stupid Absa.

I really need to leave them. I see Standard bank also has an Android app now!

Fired their iT so they are stuffed. Almost the end of the month. Internet banking will be off again.

Exactly... I want to move away from absa. If they can't employ locals in their IT, then they don't deserve our support.

They employ mainly pakistani people but I think the reason its goin too take a bit longer Barclay's is basically trying too change everything

I think Nedbank is worse in terms of delivery and banking charges.
FNB definitely leads the pack.

ABSA is really expensive, even their student accounts they have ridiculous charges for

I can't wait for the App, then I won't have to take my netbook overseas with me.

To be fair, absa.mobi works a charm on all my mobile devices. So the app is kinda redundant but would be nice.

The main bugbear with ABSA at the moment is banking fees. They are WAY overpriced at the moment. WAY!!!

I agree, FNB leads the pack at the moment. Service from Standard Bank is also very good for my banking with them. I have however never seen the kind of service anywhere else that FNB has given me. I am talking about FNB Menlyn in specific as that is where I deal with them mostly. Centurion is also nice.

Talk about missing the digital boat there ABSA, but then again they miss so many boats so regularly it's hardly a surprise now is it?

"we still have squat today, when other banks have had it for years.... but we are magically going to one-up EVERYBODY! Just wait till next year, just you wait!"
