No EFF Coalition with ANC or DA

Mmusi is announcing something tomorrow I believe

So a coalition government is basically 2 or more parties agreeing to team up and vote consistently along the larger party lines.

Without a coalition, government can still work, it just means that smaller parties can pick and choose how they vote in councils for each and every decision. So it is not to say that the EFF and the DA won't team up ever, just that it isn't 100% of the time.

So the agreement could be that the EFF vote with the DA to at least elect mayors and speakers etc. and then negotiate budgets and resolutions that the EFF will also vote for.

So it is like hidden co-operation. It just isn't official.

Let's wait and see.

This is the way it must be.
Nobody in charge and they must convince all to agree with decision making.
Nobody will be able to hide anything and no tender manipulation can take place.
And all elected members must attend all meetings.
Euphoria....

Almost like adults... not sure they'll cope with this process tbh. Gonna be chaotic.

Translation: ANC and DA weren't willing to roll over and take it up the butt from Juliass, so the EFF is taking its toys and going home.

It's really sad that there are people stupid enough to vote for these clowns. On the bright side, by the time the next elections come around, hopefully said voters will have realised that the EFF has delivered nothing and take their vote elsewhere.

Effectively: we could have had a say and an upliftment of our poor voters in 3-5 cities - but we are too immature to compromise so you leave with nothing.

This will probably mean every single coalition city grinds to a stand still and nobody receives anything as the moment there is a disagreement the mayor is replaced. The ANC will use this to point out that had they had a majority this would never have happened.

Ultimately the EFF will become another COPE, the DA will lose support and the status quo from bygone years will remain.

EDIT: the only change the DA has is to clean up PE and make it number two to Cape Town to prove they are capable.

I am actually glad , the DA were crazy to think they could team up with the devils turd Malema and his corrupt cronies , i bet the reason there was no coalition was due to the EFF making crazy demands.

So DA gets the EFF on its side without the need for a coalition. I would be all smiles if I was Maimane

ONLY in the election of mayors/mayoral committees.

The EFF won't let the DA push through anything they don't agree with in council going forward.

"We will not vote for a budget in Joburg that has bicycle lanes. I’ve never seen one person cycling in Sandton. And millions were spent on those lanes. We will not vote for a bicycle lane. Let's fight about bread and butter issues."
