No EFF Coalition with ANC or DA

This is obviously the best scenario for the voters. No one party will be able to bulldoze their programs without securing some form of consensus.

Impressive politics by EFF. Openly still calling the DA the party of white racists and then quietly forming a "non-coalition-coalition". A good move to continue eroding the ANC voter base while hopefully being pragmatic enough to assist people on the ground. It will be interesting to see if the CoJ will now finally be willing to provide proper running water to many of the under-serviced townships (I can't talk about other areas, but Kya-Sands, Diepsloot and Lion Park informal settlements are health hazards).

The following caught my attention when it comes to clever electioneering (from his speech and Twitter):
"... there must be a special rate for the poor. If no fee schools can be provided, then water and electricity should 2 "

First of all, there are already free basic services in every major metro where people can just apply and will get free water/refuse/electricity. The problem is that those areas are either not serviced or that people do not want (or know?) how to apply. Let's see how the DA puts this...

Yep...nothing like uncertainty to keep you on your toes. Whomever is in the EFF think thank...-big ups to them. Clearly they starting to look beyond the radical base they have, as their growth will be limited, as evident by their performance in the LGE...time to eat into the cake of the moderates...

Well to paraphrase the CIC - Do not want to give up Zuma, you will be collectively punished!

Either they won't dump Zuma because that's what the opposition wants or he has a dossier with all their skeletons.

Besides those I cannot fathom why they keep propping up this disaster of a 'president'.

Polokwane elective conference,... purge of all pro Mbeki supporters...allowed all the great Pro Zuma "luminaries", who would have been the bottom of the barrel scraps to NEC members. If he goes, they go...and they know that.

I'm very happy the ANC took the stance it did about Zuma. Apart from confirming their collective stupidity and corruptness to the electorate, Zuma will assist greatly in the implosion of the ANC in the years heading into the general election. Good entertainment, watching them commit collective suicide like a bunch of lemmings.

Go, Numba 1 !!!. And I don't mean leave.

it's simple, the NEC is full of Zuma's loyalist. Rememmber how much Zuma's faction dominated in Mangaung. These are the fruits.

In the DA coalition conference Mmusi Maimane said they will govern Tshwane and NMB but said nothing about JHB. Which was interesting...

With the coalition plus EFF votes they're 1 or 2 ahead of the requirement... I guess they need to see the EFF deliver those 30 votes before they can say for sure.

Yep...The ANC will be so focused at defending him...they virtually lost Gauteng...and yet, still...he is not the issue.

I think the EFF isn't so chummy with the idea of Herman Mashaba.

I like the response from COPE (I think) with regards to how the various coalition-parties will manage to work together. The feedback was:

If you need to remove refuse or fix potholes, you don't need to be a socialist or capitalist to fix this.
