Are Toyota going to produce something moderatly exciting to drive again?

We.ve had RSI's in RunX, Corolla and both Conquest models for 20 years ... but nothing exciting in the pipeline that anyone maybes knows of?

Runx is 20 years old? I dirrrnt know that :p

Before the RunX RSI, we had a Corolla RSI in the late 90's ... and 160/180 Conquest RSI's early 90s ... and before that Conquest RSI in the late 80's

I meant the badge has been around.

Ok, just don't be too serious, or else toyota will see this thread ;)

I've heard about a 'hot' Corolla this year ... can't seem to find a link though :/

Well ... both RSI's were the quickest naturally aspirated 1.6 and 1.8 cars on the road. The 10 year Corolla 1.6 RSI is still one of the quickest 1600s on the road.

Hahahaha shame man...

Maybe theres a Auris Rsi coming out:p
I think Toyota SA must have given up trying to stay in the Hot Hatch market with all theses newbies. I still think they make very strong powerful engines, but with the lousyness of the previous RSi nowonder they quit...

The Auris is quiet a flop right? I hardly see any on the roads, the Yaris is also dieing out....

I think the guys at Toyota SA are a bunch of conservative twats that look at the numbers first. God forbid they actually bring the Celica out here.

Does Lexus count?

Lol Dolby it looks like you're going to be stuck with that RunX for a while :D

Why was it lousy?

Auris isn't a flop ... it's only a few months old ;) As for the Yaris, isn't is one of the best selling cars?

I don't think Toyota intended the RSI to compete with GTIs, OPC's, S3s or Porsche 911 Turbos tbh.

Which it does at the coast ... speedwise ;)

Pull of the CAR magazine that tested both ...

The Golf GTI was still 30% more expensive so it is slightly unfair, imo.

Hahaha! Nah, check out the Lexus ISF. Saw it again on last week's Fifth Gear.

Thing is, the guys at Lexus and Toyota were still douchebags. This car was developed by the engineers in their own time after hours.
