Yay!! Hoping you really enjoy it. I'm meandering through this one, actually that's my usual play style, who am I kidding :ROFL: I want to go find all the corvette parts now and forget about the expedition tasks for a bit.

My Corvette in the expedition is just a flying apartment :)
 
This is the expedition corvette :) just flung things together to get the job done.

You're making me feel better about the corvette I've built. Been taking me ages to get parts together and to figure out how it all works. I initially added too many weapons and they take up so many tech slots. I've got a working infra-knife now but can't see that there is a weapon to install that matches that? I also have the phase beam because I had the weapon part that goes with it.

Still need to watch some building videos because I keep making flying blocks :ROFL: Only finished the first 2 expedition phases but more than half way with the third. New save meant I didn't bring across a multi-tool so went looking for better ones. Also working on nanites so I can upgrade my corvette to S class.

Yeah figured for the expedition I don't need a fancy corvette, just one that does the job. It handles worse than the mini freighter, but it has given me some insights into improving my two other corvettes on my primary save.
 
What does peeve me off, is you cannot claim any ships and I found a few decent Sentis

I am missing my fighter! Need to try improve the manoeuvrability when I get a few more tech slots. Managed to survive the sentinel ships but not feeling nimble enough to beat 5 to 8 pirate ships. My strategy for the sentinels was to shoot the space station, kill one sentinel and escape into the station.

Also annoyed they blocked buying ships because that was my plan to get extra storage augmentation :laugh:

Have encountered a few bugs, especially in pirate stations where I've been hanging out recently. No small teleporter from corvette parking, just a long run into the station. Used the main teleporter to jump between pirate stations for some shopping and a few times I fell through the station into space as I phased in. It also then puts my corvette in the LAST parking bay which is an even longer run back to the ship.

For the sentinels I just peeved off the ones on the ground to get the two things I needed, think it was for the 8 corrupted sentinels and after I killed them. Hightailed it in my brick to space and 3 interceptors spawned in, took them out with cyclon ballista and phase beam. By reversing slowly, luckily shields are good thanks to some pirate parts.
For the pirates part I just went and looked at other bases and spawned to it, but then suddenly realised I had a ton of nipbuds which is counted as contraband, 1.6 million right there. I spawned at someones base that had a ton of nipbuds growing so collected a few of them.
At the pirate station just bought pirate blue prints and ran for a long long time to my corvette, cause yeah no teleporters. Same for the lush world, just looked for a base someone built for fishing, it was marked as bountiful planet, got two done in one warp

Does make me want to rework my two :-), the transfer will be oodles of the parts I've got from this expedition, but not sure if I've got space.

I'm sad I won't be able to transfer anything to my main save but can always create a corvette in creative mode and then switch back but I do kinda like the hunt for parts so will probably just take my time gathering. Not sure I really NEED a corvette in my main save though.

Here, everyone is making battle ships and I gave up over the weekend cause I could not find out how to make glass for my wooden base window planes.

Was on a forced break; Mrs was playing Donkey Kong on the Switch so kinda just getting a feel for the NMS on Xbox.
Sadly, Ys itch was still scratching in the back of my cranium, so I continued that venture once the Switch was free again.

I remember you also played Starfield, will be interesting to hear what you think of NMS if you get properly into it. Definitely doesn't have the storyline that Starfield has but does some other things better. I love sci fi games so am happy to have played both but NMS keeps pulling me back in with the updates and multiplayer.

I loved ship building the most in Starfield so I know I will love it in NMS, its just the hurdle to get there that limits me now. Finally bought NMS, so will def get to it, one day.
