No Man's Sky

I do use VR, but wasn't doing that today.
I think earlier today my PC just needed a reboot, been fine for the afternoon.
Only place it's slow now is in the Anomaly, which seems to be a normal thing.
yeah the anomaly can be glitchy for me and I preferred to switch off multiplayer for this expedition too because of how busy it was,

Still not finished it, struggling with it
Struggling with the annoying 10/15 minute drives?? I lucked out finding an observatory and did the gravitino ball collection nearby so I could run inside and then also completed the sentinel re-orientation task as well. At the end I had to do some extra trips to complete the disposal of 16 of each type of waste.

Yeah that's the thing did the sentinel stuff and the re orientation stuff way at the start :)

Oh my god struggling with this expedition, tried on Friday night again, spent most of the time just trying to get 16 things from one point to the other over terrible terrain and watching it fall all over the place.
It's like this is a chore not fun, went back to house flipper, cleaning a house virtually felt more comforting.

Can a non-Expedition player join someone who's on an expedition? Cause I can join you and build a road?

Sadly, I don't have a way back to that star system as I did not think about dropping a marker.

I don't think you can :-( I mean I think I'm almost done, I think cause literally the last bloody thing where I need 48 freaking special industrial waste which is 9 minutes away... 9 bloody minutes, it's not like driving is fun or exciting or something happens on that 9 minutes. I mean it takes me 19 minutes to work. Now I need to drive somewhere for 9 minutes to virtually fill the back of a truck, to drive 9 minutes back...

I was also a bit short on the special waste at the end. I didn't bring back as much as you so it was a quicker trip. A tip that might help, you can find special waste in the small bits of waste on the ground. Not all the time, but I got a few that way. I scanned to identify them, then drove by and could spot the special waste items without getting out although sometimes it was safer to park and just run/fly to them to check.

Can't fly stupid ship is broken :-( that would solve half the problem, fly to waste place, call hauler and drive it back.

Sorry! poor choice of wording, I meant the jetpack type of flying instead of just running it.

Start of "act" 4, your ship should be auto fixed.
I thought mine was only fixed at the end of the 5th phase, I remember you saying that and don't think it worked like that for me. Maybe they changed it as you did this expedition earlier than I did. Flying to the waste and calling in the truck would defs save some time!

Quick question for you guys.
I really hate the forced combat scenarios, e.g. when I am in my settlement and bugs pop out the ground or sentinels attack for some unknown reason, can I just fly away and ignore it till they go away?
This mechanic is the absolute worst thing in this game (my opinion obviously)

I don't think you can avoid the settlement combat, although to be honest I haven't tried. You could just avoid visiting the settlement. For most other combat I want to avoid I run/jetpack away on a planet or jump in my ship and enter the anomaly or fly to a space station. If you max out your multi-tool weapon (my fave is the pulse spitter) and have something like the paralysis mortar then generally combat shouldn't be too much of an issue, can see how the settlement cycle can be repetitive though.

Can't really say I like settlements in general. Not unless I can put up TD and a pathing maze lol

Have you tried settlements since they improved them? I'm enjoying working on getting each building to S class, bit laborious but feels more of an achievement.
