My new bundle became effective 2 days ago, but every time I dial 141, I get told that they cannot access my account. Now I have to use out of bundle rates. I have asked 173 for help 3 times and none of them are able to help me.
All of them say there is a network overload????. How come when I dial *141#, I get my account details. Today I tried to go over to Vodacom but aparently they don't do PAYG internet bundles only contract. I don't know what to do anymore.
MTMDD is not here atm. Can anybody else help.

I sent you an email

Day 4 and still cannot purchase bundle. Used up 45mb on out of bundle rates. Enabled GPRS on my other SIM which is on contract and still cannot get bundle. Phoned 141,1555,555 and 808, all they say is "congestion" and "we will feex eet" Trying at 2am and 4 am still congested--- I don't think so. MTN should at least credit me for my out of bundle rates which they are forcing me to use.

MTN system is a mess at the moment as far as i can tell. I can't make any calls or anything because my account is suspended and they can't lift the suspension! . This includes using my data bundle [which i already paid for....]

They suspend my account, debit my bank account with the amount due [thus my account is paid] and now they can't lift the suspension...yay..what a way to start the year.

At least it seems i'm not the only one, 808 even starts with "we are aware of problems with the lifting of suspension...." etc etc.

*sigh*

this is a very serious problem currently, but they are working fervently to get this matter sorted asap, im sorry about the inconvenience you have been caused.

I was irrate over the weekend but I now realize that they are on skeleton staff during the festive season and everybody deserves a break, so I will wait till all is back to normal.
Thanx

Good day,

Was this sorted out and if so what was the problem?

My account is active again finally. Took MTN since 30Dec to fix. Something about a mod-to-mod [or m-to-m ..didn't really listen to the techno babble] problem.

Hope the others get sorted too, i had to phone MTN multiple times before it got fixed [and even if the operator types a few things and say "i removed the call-barring", don't just assume it is fixed..in my case it wasn't] .

I'm sorry I wasn't around I would have put a little pressure on them to fix it sooner but at least it's sorted - Glad to hear it
