No SD PVR anymore

I also thought it was only 1 x R55 over the normal subs, but a few ppl who are now using xtraview are telling me its R55 for the HD and R55 for the xtraview...

It is only R55 once, the R55 includes dual view & PVR functionality, but the billing system and 90% of MC employees didnt know that, so the 2nd R55 gets reversed but it would seem only when requested, that should change from this month though

I emailed last month for them to reverse it, got a call from someone who said R55 x 2 was correct, i told him he was wrong and to get his manager to call me, manager told me the same story, eventually some people in the know at MC decided to educate its employees to the knowledge of its customers

Ahhh, well thats at least something... but its typical of the uselessness of MC's staff.

I'm still waiting for a decent explanation for the time change on American Gangster from last week on the HD channel.

You won't get it. The replies are usually something like "We just compile the content from overseas providers and have no control over their scheduling. We have referred your query to the relevant department". Then you will hear nothing.

I've never been called compliant before. Question everything is what I was taught.

You can set as many deadlines as you like, many have tried that approach and been simply ignored. This underlines a fundamental problem when it comes to redress in SA. If you extend the 'whatif' progression to it's ultimate conclusion, what can happen/change? If the answer is nothing, then trying is pointless.

hmm, concerning the 2x55 or not, I'll have a look at my account next month. It's been a bot of a mess since mid December. They activated 2 full HD packages instead of the Xtraview I asked for, so there's a number of billings/reversals, etc, etc. Don't feel like sorting thru that at the moment

Easy way to look at it though, is with the premium package + PVR/XV the max per month is R523

I thinks its good,we are so far behind in SA and by nature South Africans dont like change. Sometimes we need this to really push the market to HD. I am in the video industry and cant wait for HD to fully take over,its really been a slow uptake so far.

Yes,multichoice made a tough call on the SD PVR being discontinued,but at least we moving towards new technology.
