Here is a how to on Getting Started. Written by the community.
Been wugging for over a month now and all I can say is that it surpassed my every expectation. The guys on the irc are super helpfull and even if you know snot about anything wireless of networking they will be able to help you hook you up the the awesomeness.
And yes there is no internet, but trust me once you start wugging your internet will be reserved only for banking and news. Big ups to the every single oke on the wug.
Well Mole thats not entirely true, someone needs to bring in the err bacon for the WUC to be of any interest, especially if your not into gaming much...
Great community nonetheless though...
Windows Updates via wug, Linux updates via wug, Linux distros via wug. I have uncapped myself and rarely use it these days to do any updates or downloading via the net.![]()
Myself and another bloke on JAWUG both have mirrors of the Ubuntu update servers at home. We have so many machines that its cheaper for us that way. We then share those servers with the fellow wuggers to get their updatesThere are user that run WSUS and linux update servers on the wug, it's not done through the internet.
Isnt that a WISP then ? So you would need a licence from Icasa then ?
