No work, no calls

Good move IMO from Vodacom

Good move IMO from Vodacom, considering that the main complaint of striking employees appears to be griping over working conditions, well now they have bad striking conditions & will find it a tad bit more difficult to co-ordinate blocking the entrances at Vodaworld - unless of course they all rush to the Vodashop there & buy some pre-paid SIM cards & airtime...
I'm obviously not very familiar with labour law, but seriously, is there some obscure labour law that compels an employer to furnish a worker's union with a full list of employees including those that are not members of the corresponding union...

Surely the CWU knows who its own members are and who they work for? - or does the CWU just pocket monthly contributions from its members and then fail to keep any internal CWU records...

what about valid emergency calls? <for those without their their own sim cards>

I wonder if those strikers are all going to get MTN prepaid simcards now? That would be funny :D

I also had a smile on my face when I read the article. The Vodacom bosses obviously did not appreciate their entrance being blocked by striking workers :D
