I saw the new vodashop specials runs from 7July to 6 September , yes it is the first time that I see that it runs for two months, what does this mean !!! contract prices will stay the same till september :( or is it a printing error??

I wonder when that will be !!! I hope soon. I'm not gonna spend 5g for 3G :D

My topup contract is now a year old. what will I have to pay in, to stop that contract and then take out a new weekender contract? NB : I'm not talking about migrating, I want the new phone on a weekender.
 
If you want to cancel yur Vodacom contract premature.All you have to do is,you pay the remainder of the contract upfront.Thats all

Vodacom had the same deal running for MAY and JUNE but on the deals confirmation for July Aug,,the Vodashops have. It states clearly it expires on 6th Aug 05.It is advertised as you mention.I will post feed asap.I noticed it the day i got them but i did not worry about it........

You have to make a very quick decision because the Vodafone version will be available in 2 weeks time

Not too sure how the 6680 VLive is configured, but I will say this : If it turns out to be Sim Locked, DONT buy one! Rather get the current generic 6680...

Did you try loading MTN settings for GPRS/MMS ob any Vodafone handset.It will not accept it..

So say my contract is 12 months old, I'm on topup, 135+9.50 = 144.50*12= R1734-00.

Will I get my airtime at once, ,monthly or does it falls away.
will I have to pay the 9.50 * 12 also? :confused:

thanks Tahir, you help me alot, unfortunately the E810 that I also wanted to get is everytime out of stock. :o

My boss got an E1000 vLive! handset from a Vodacom customer on a contract, and I set it up to use MTN GPRS nooo problem.

Not in my experience. With the E1000, you just go download the settings from the MTN website (via SMS) and it works no problem...
 
Yep.. Free on Vodacom.. Not Autopage

Phoned Autopage on Thursday (7 July( .. Still R1100 on both Talk 120 & 240 packages.

Saw add for Vodacom (girlfriend also upgraded to 6680). Free from Vodacom SP...

But wait for it... 2-3 weeks waiting time...

So sorry... It is Autopage which is being a bit of a stick in the mud... :eek:

But in 4 weeks hopefully they will also bring down the price (if they can find stock)..
 
As i posted a while ago; that Nashua said that the 6680 should be free on My Call 100 ( MTN ) from August >> I got news >> ITALK is aalready giving it FREE on the MYCALL 100 ( R129 per month package with 85 FREE off PEAK , 15 PEAK and 15 SMS )
C'mon, Tahir, is it FREE on Vodacoms Weekender??? or when will it be free?

Its about R1700 cash on Weekender.I think it will only be FREE on a WEEKENDER package in September.Thats when the Vodafone Live version will be available.The only reason i can think Italk is doing the 6680 Free on a MyCall100 because with MTN you can switch MTN SP and keep you number.

Atleast with Vodacom you can use all your free minutes for Video calls or you get charged a normal voice rate .Not forgetting PERSECOND BILLING FROM THE 1st second.

Animated Wallpapers.

Ok so I got a 6680 and sofar I'm really impressed.

For those of you that have been playing around with these handsets for longer than I have, a question; Is there any way to have an animated theme/wallpaper on the phone? Or even a flash wallpaper?
 
Another question for those who have had their 6680 for a while - how's the battery life now?
One of my associates at work is not impressed, (but then he probably shouldn't have gone for a smartphone anyway because he says its "too complicated - too many buttons to push just to answer a call")??
I'm still keen to get one - when and if they are available on Top-Up or similar packages (without a HUGE cash pay-in....) Or maybe I'll wait for the 6280 ....
