Weird error messages after rebooting

Whenever I switch my phone on, or reboot it, I get a couple of "Message sending failed" error messages displayed. The error messages are preceded by interference on my pc screen if the phone is close by, so is it trying to send sms by itself?

Commwarrior (or other) virus?
No, it's not any reported virus
EDIT: Ok, problem's gone. This was after I deleted all my messages in all folders and messed around with the settings for sms - I changed the message centre from SMSC to Vodacom.

On that note ... v3g, what firmware is available for the 6680 now. Still having problems with the Bluetooth stack, even with a different notebook.

Could be a software (Microsoft) problem and not a phone problem.

Anybody have any idea how I could fix my mms? I keep getting sms telling me to download my mms from the internet.

What phone are you using?

A MMS actually consist of a SMS that then triggers the MMS download, so it sounds like your MMS settings on your phone is not correct. You get the SMS but then your phone cannot do the MMS download.

Can you get your phone's MMS settings from 4me?

I thought it might be the problem initially, but I am running MAC OS X now, and it still gives the same problems. Plus my headset is not running any OS and I have problems with it :D

I'm using the 6680 (this is the 6680 thread ;) ). I got my settings from *111#. Should I try that again or go to the 4me site?

Ok, tried the 4me site but after entering my number and Nokia all I get is a blank page and nothing on my phone.

Never mind. :D Dialled *111*5# to get new settings and selected them as default and now everything works. But why do I have both VLive! and VLive!MMS access points?

Nokia 6680 SUCKS

Arguably the worst Nokia I ever had the misfortune of owning.... Many basic features, such as keypad locking, birthday reminders etc missing. And it is slower than a AT PC. If you don't know what that is, TS

My keypad locks and my birthday reminders work.Quite honestly I cant complain about much on this phone. It is a bit slow but not nearly as bad as you make out, it is running symbian afterall and boot up times are slower than normal so is coming out of "sleep" but after that operation is fine and it multitasks.

You can now reload the firmware and update the software online with theur update tool, very useful.

Try the left selection key next to the joystick and then * ;)

I can't find it anywhere. That site is a nightmare to navigate. Where can we get it?

I am happy with my 6680. For most reminders and birthdays I just use the "meeting" feature with an alarm added.

Since I switched my phone to use GSM only, my battery has been giving me 8 days on standby (switched off during the night though).
Also set it to use 3G only with netmonitor and there the battery also gives me 8 days. Interesting when the phone in this mode, if you then go to tools, settings, network, the network mode is indicated as "UMTS". Strange that they didn't make this selectable on the menu here?

Nokia for dummies.... Why must I lock the phone manually every time after I've used it? My previous Nokia's did it automatically!!!!... As for birthday reminders, my old Nokia's did it automatically from the Contacts, no need to go and enter them somewhere else as well... A giant leap backards in technology!!! And no, the N70 is no better either...
