Nokia 8 Sirocco

Phone upgraded ... B00M, wifi issues. It connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects. Driving us crazy. Been playing around with different settings the past week... no luck. :crying:
Yeah. It's really not been great for me. Hopefully they fix it in the next monthly update...

Another post-update frustration: the always on display (glance screen) notifications don't go away even when you've read whatever they are notifying about (like an email or WhatsApp). Can't find a fix other than a reboot. Or closing each app separately.

I experienced that as well! Only happened once though.

Bah spoke too soon. It has reared its head again and a restart isn't fixing it. Probably going to have to reinstall the app.

The glance screen bug has stopped on my side. The WiFi problems persist, though. Very frustrating because my 3g/4g signal is mostly non-existant where I am, so reliant on WiFi...

Yikes, sounds really bad.
Has anyone experiencing these issues post upgrade tried a factory reset? I know it's super inconvenient but if the struggle is constant,it might be worth a shot

I was considering it but then saw on the Nokia forums that it doesn't solve the issues so left it. Not keen on setting up 2FA on everything again.

If I factory reset it I, might as well get a new phone since that's the only time I've ever done a factory reset :D

Why would you need to setup 2FA again? Are u using the official Google app. FYI its the worst one out there, its the only one that does not backup.

Authy is good or ms authenticator.

Yep, using the Google authenticator

Edit
I see it has the option to export your accounts now which is cool.

I also have the WIFI issues.

But after I did the steps below my WIFI is much more stable and does not disconnect and reconnect every minute or two.

Settings>system>advanced>reset options>Reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, network

You have to connect to your WIFI network again but it helped me.

The WIFI signal however is still not as good as what it was on Android 9.

Cool. Let me try that...

I didn't know it was possible for something as basic as wifi to be messed up as badly as this. By a software update. I guess you can mess anything up if you try hard enough...
