Nokia delivers - again

IF YOU CONTINUE to be amazed by how Nokia manages to increase its already dominant market share every quarter and sell 40m handsets a month worldwide, its new E71 should provide some answers. It's an awesome piece of equipment.

if it's that horrible flat thing, noways

I like phones like the Nokia 6230i and Nokia 6300.

Small, thing, looks good... the rest are just too much for me.

Its a very nice looking phone!! In your hand in looks awesome and its much smaller than the previous E61i.
MTN has it in white, the white looks nicer!

sony ericsson all the way

QFT:D

Nokia :sick: IMO. I can't find ANY place in SA that can repair my N80 (person I'm calling can't hear me - slider ribbon cable worn out) or do a firmware update.

try a bit harder!

can you recommend a store please?

Nokia's list of South Africa service points are mostly Cell C/MTN/voda franchises, who don't do repairs themselves.

I gave them a call ,and it turns out some of the stores they referred me to have closed shop.

That closed "Repair" "Fraud" shop was Ixia? They were a bunch of cheats and cons so went bank. Best is to call Nokia but they would refer you to a Nokia shop dependinding where you are. Tell them you are not interested and need their repair centre contact direct, tell them you want to take it there direct. They refered me to the company in Boksburg but I will have to search for it again

The E-series of Nokia phones is all about what it does and nothing about how it looks. I have worked with the E61, E65 and E90 and it it pretty amazing hardware and software. But for me looks are somewhat important so that is why I love nothing more than the N82 - it has everything you can ever want in a phone.

Silverblade fixes Nokia, im not sure what their contact details are...

I had the E61... and it had a little voice recording button on the right side that was so sensitive... the thing kept on recording me swearing at it. I sold it because of that button. If this thing has the same "feature"... beware!!!

They use their own memory format so for me they are a big no-no. I do not like when I buy something and then I have to stick with that company for everything I want - it's too fruity. Same goes from Fuji/Olympus cameras with their retarded xD flash cards..

I want freedom of choice when I choose accessories like memory cards.

You can also try Darro Electronics...

http://www.darro.co.za/

but be careful... they lost one of my phones with their courier... eventually replaced it reluctantly... rather drop the phone off there yourself.

EDIT: They are HP's service agent in SA for their iPAQs
