Nokia N95 @ Vodacom??

Yeah that deal is for Midrand only!

Believe me i went hunting, a few pages back I cut and pasted the link to where it says that!

I even e-mailed the head of operations, she was quick to phone me back to let me know that its Midrand only. She did mention she would see what she could do, but havent heard back since. Sent her a mail this morning - no reply. So presuming it isnt possible.

On the upper hand, MTNSP phoned this morning saying that my booked phone has arrived. Lets hold thumbs it is actually there!

:o Mr Wireless I think a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.If MTN is giving you the phones in your hand tomorrow, grab it tightly with both hands and dont let it go. It will be a long time that you will even get to smell this phone if you pass up this opportunity.
I have never been with Vodacom so it would be unfair to judge or comment on them. However I have been with MTN for close to 10 years so I can comment on this service provider and say that they are awesome.
However in respect of the supply of the N95,they also have this huge list of people on their waiting list so its hard to get one within a few days.
I got mine through Italk and they were one of the first people to get this phone so I am impressed with both MTN and Italk.
Lets hope your handset is in tomorrow....

How long should I charge it...still not able to use it:(

In respect of charging, your first charge should be 16 hous unbroken. Its says so in the Nokia manual. The sales people told me 8 hours, but they spitting the brown stuff cos they dont know what they speak 99% of the time, and the faster your battery depletes, the faster you'l need a new one so thats more after sales jingles in their pockets.

Congrats to all who have received their N95s thus far, and for those who have'nt,hang in there.I know how unbearable the waiting and anticipation is, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Guys, it's a Lithium Ion Battery, charge it till it's done charging and go.... once the batter is fully charged the charging circuits cut off power feed to the battery anyway... so any time it's left on charge after that is wasted....

I'll sponsor you. If you've a lovely lady friend. I can enjoy hahahaha.
I'm sure if you despreate phone Vodaworld up. I'm sure they can make a plan :) Then send it via DHL :)))

Just have luck.

Unfortunately walk-in custormers only, they are very specific on that...I could even take a application form home to fill it in! But when I was there today the said the socked up on N95, said they would have enough until sunday no matter what!

Glad youll enjoying it, did you get your free car wash?:p

Was almost tempted RicharG .. LOL

What sort of bolt-on data package would be ok for initial downloads / updates for a new phone?

Not talking about dl'ing songs vids etc - for maps and apps etc to get it going?

AVR

EXACTLY... show me where it says 16 hours in the manual, I looked! I charged mine for about an hour after it said it was fully charged, and only because I was busy. It might have applied years ago, but not anymore.

anyone selling their MANGO TICKETS , PM me

Guys im sure i read 16 hours somewer in da manual.I wil howevr chek 2 verify cos mayb u guys cud b rite bout 8 hours of first charging. However 1 hour 4 a 1st charge is not good.Your batery is conditiond during da 1st charge. If underchargd da 1st tym,dis could result in permanent dead cels in ur battery which wil carry through da rest of its remaining life
