Iraq had no Jihadis, the US gave Iraq too them.
Afghanistan was about to fall under Russian rule but the US backed a Jihadi movement, trained them and the Russians were kicked out.

Iraq and Afghanistan are low intensity conflicts. It's going last for years. As always feel free to put across your alternative suggestions. More appeasement will no doubt be the answer :o

Oh the Korean war never solved the problem of the communist invasion of the South. Vietnam solved their problem of having their country split in two by going to war. No war, no united Vietnam under communist control. In the Balkans NATO going to war solved the problem of the Serbian government committing genocide. The Cuban communists won the war in Cuba hence solving their problem. Please show me the alternatives to war in these scenarios.

So how did Korea get split into 2 then?

The Serbians were responding to the threat of Muslim separatists/terrorist - even before Bush discovered such a thing.

Cuba was on the brink of war at least twice. America has been on a war-like footing ever since they lost those. What did that solve??

We no longer have Hitler. That seemed to work, mainly because millions of men decide to give a stuff and go and kill him, or cause him to be killed. Today WW2 would not end the way it did.

In NK's situation, the world needs to go into it, remove and disappear Kim Jong II and all his dups, together with the ruling crowd, put in place a new "Marshall" plan to bring the sheeple of NK out into the real world.
But this will not happen, until NK and the Jongs decide to drop a nuke on SK, in a terrible mistake. Within 5 years, I would say, take this a prophecy.
