Not able to get a MTN contract

Hi.....I have been able to get contracts for WiFi, FNB sim etc..but.not the MTN data one..I wanted the 399 rand/month data contract, I called the customer care and they told me that if I don't have any existing contract with them before, they cant open it online and I have to visit store..online , I cannot buy myself since it asks for ID no (I only have passport no)..



I went to store and the MTN rep there, when she enters my bank account info on system, it shows some error..she is not sure about the error, but I think this might be bcoz I am ineligible for credit..she told me that others who are coming into stores for getting the same contact , system error is not showing for them.. .can someone reply to following pointwise :



1. What I think is that , credit score shouldn't matter in this case, bcoz I am just taking a SIM data only contract (so I am paying monthly for a service and hence not a true credit) and it should matter in the case, I was taking a cellphone contract..but I am not very sure about this..

2.i generally keep very less amount in my SA bank account and most of it is in my foreign bank account..so , if I start keeping more amount in SA bank account, does it help or is it that only credit score might matter in this case..?..

3. Anyone knows of some MTN branches near hoedspruit area(1st preference), followed by nelspruit (2nd preference ) followed by joberg(3rd preference ) where such system errors might not be there and very easy to get a contract?..
