I'm looking to upgrade my 3 year old Toshiba entry-level notebook for something that I can do photo and video editing on without watching it lag like it was stuck in the 80s.
I've read up a bit about processors and it seems the i7 Quad core is my best option, or an i5 quad core which is better than an i7 dual core.
I've had a look on takealot, raru and loot, but can't find one that looks solid - when I check out some of the processors on the notebooks/all-in-ones, they're from 2012 and don't score very high.
Can anyone in the know (I haven't followed tech news for years unfortunately) recommend something under R20k? (If closer to R10k-R15k then great)
