Hope they can get it back to the way it was.

There was no electricity or wiring whatsoever in the wooden frame due to the known fire hazard of 800 years old wooden beam.

Most likely temporary electricity connections or welding due to the renovations.

Well I'm not sure about what electricity they use there, but mine isn't a fire risk even surrounded by wood, fabric, ect.

The French Authorities can come out with crystal clear evidence that the fire was a result of some accidental occurrence related to the renovation work.

Some of the statues, the spire was also rebuilt at one point. Large portions however were original, standing from the time of its construction.

The south and west windows are gone but the Rosace Nord survived. Of the three, this is the only one that hasn’t been restored and the glass dates back 800 years.

Actually 67 fires last year over 100 000 churches. 12 were criminal.

Some of the rose windows just exploded.

Where? I'm under the impression that no investigation has concluded any such thing.

And it's not all that far-fetched. The Notre Dame is of course a major target for an Islamic terrorist attack given its huge significance in Europe, especially for Christians. What greater success for Islamic terrorists then the destruction of one of Europe's greatest cathedrals?

Every hot works permit I have worked on has a clear requirement to have a fire watchman, that stays behind an hour after the hot works have been completed.

This is because some works may have led to a spark that has ignited a source which has a slow burn that only becomes visible some time later.

it is common practice and stipulated in various fire policies.

So it is possible for the fire to have only become quite visible sometime after the works had been completed.
