Now we're talking!

I think it's pretty impressive that Juggernaut knew what Killadoob and PK was going to say......

No I was giving praise to an ISP for fast, positive response. For being professional and for answering my question with certainty.

It doesn't matter. It is pointless for me to give someone praise if everyone else are going to make it seem like an issue.

For the record. Seacom had absolutely nothing to do with the topic or the reason why I posted. It was for excellent service and response. But I removed the quote of the mail they sent me. I am not going to let randoms have a LOL because they don't understand the spirit of my post.

So I rather don't bother.

Jugger - noble reasons aside (and kudos to gconnect for responding promptly), you can hardly blame people for their reaction... Their response did allude to spectacular changes being ushered in by SEACOM without saying anything concrete.

A lot more views than posts.

Those that post are either negative, or joking, or sarcastic or on a mission, and you may even find some that appreciate your efforts and actually bother to post that.

But ... forget about the posters, it's the people who read your post that you're reaching.

All they said was that they anticipate lower latency to international websites when they hook up to Seacom. Why do they need to say something concrete about that if the Seacom blog already confirmed that the maximum latency of their cable is 90ms. You don't make sense. Its a given fact. Basically they said "yes we use fibre, but we are going to have even less latency when we hook up to Seacom." Do you want an essay from them stating why there will be less latency and how it works?

Thanks, but I guess some people want to turn this place into a complaints box.

Hey, you took the quote down - don't persecute me if I can't recall what they said word for word :)

All I'm saying is the mere mention of SEACOM will bring the wrath of a 1000 burning suns upon you until we can taste the proverbial proof-containing pudding. Anyways, I'm not trying to turn this into another SEACOM debate - well done to gconnect for responding quickly...

SEACOM opening

Well go along to the SEACOM switch on at NEOTEL midrand Ops centre this month.

Take along your laptop and preferably a lot of very sophisticted test equipment because you will be allowed access to the cable -- YES indeed plugin your laptop to the "backbone"

Is THAT enough of a taste for you  :D
