NVv3-series

NVv3 series virtual machines are powered by NVIDIA Tesla M60 GPUs and NVIDIA RTX Enterprise technology with Intel Broadwell CPUs. These virtual machines are targeted for GPU accelerated graphics applications and virtual desktops where customers want to visualize their data, simulate results to view, work on CAD or render and stream content. Additionally, these virtual machines can run single precision workloads such as encoding and rendering. NVv3 virtual machines support Premium Storage and come with twice the system memory (RAM) when compared with its predecessor NV Series. Compared to the NVv2 series the NVv3 configurations are hyperthreaded.

NDs-series

NDs-series virtual machines is a new addition to the GPU family specifically designed for the needs of the AI and deep learning workloads offering excellent performance for training and inference. It’s powered by NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPUs based on the new Pascal Architecture. These instances provide excellent performance for FP32 (single precision floating point operations), for AI workloads utilizing CNTK, TensorFlow, Caffe, and other frameworks. The NDs-series also offers a much larger GPU memory size (24 GB), enabling it to fit much larger neural net models. Like our NC-series, the NDs-series offers a configuration with a secondary low-latency, high-throughput network through RDMA, and InfiniBand connectivity so you can run large-scale training jobs spanning many GPUs. In addition, N-series offers an NDs24r configuration that provides a low latency, high-throughput network interface optimized for tightly coupled parallel computing workloads.

ND A100 v4 series

The ND A100 v4 series is ideal for high-end Deep Learning Training, ML and analytics tasks, and tightly-coupled scale-up and scale-out GPU-accelerated HPC workloads. The series starts with a single virtual machine (VM) and eight NVIDIA Ampere A100 Tensor Core GPUs, but our ND A100 v4-based clusters can also scale up to thousands of GPUs with an unprecedented 1.6 Tb/s of interconnect bandwidth per VM. Each GPU is provided with its own dedicated topology-agnostic 200 Gb/s NVIDIA Mellanox HDR InfiniBand connection. Tens, hundreds, or thousands of GPUs can then work together as part of a Mellanox InfiniBand HDR cluster to achieve any level of AI ambition.
At launch of Azure savings plan for compute, the 1-year and 3-year savings plan include a temporary price reduction for the ND A100 v4 Series. On January 1, 2023, the price will increase to the normal savings plan pricing. See the expected pricing as of January 1, 2023.

NDm A100 v4 series

NDm A100 v4 Azure VMs, powered by eight 80 GB NVIDIA Ampere A100 GPUs, are Azure’s flagship Deep Learning and Tightly Coupled HPC GPU offering for highly demanding workloads. Featuring 2x the per-GPU memory of the ND A100 v4 series, and 30% more GPU memory bandwidth, the NDm A100 v4 features the same NVLINK and InfiniBand HDR connections that let the most ambitious jobs scale up and out using standard NVIDIA NCCL libraries. NDm A100 v4-based deployments can scale up to thousands of GPUs with 1.6 Tb/s of interconnect bandwidth per VM. Each GPU within the VM is provided with its own dedicated, topology-agnostic 200 Gb/s NVIDIA Mellanox HDR InfiniBand connection.
At launch of Azure savings plan for compute, the 1-year and 3-year savings plan include a temporary price reduction for the NDm A100 v4 Series. On January 1, 2023, the price will increase to the normal savings plan pricing. See the expected pricing as of January 1, 2023.

Anyone with priority knows what GPU they are using? Apparently you can see it when you enable the GFN FPS counter…

I'm starting to think that they are giving Rain customers a first go.

Maybe non-Rain customers will be the next wave to see how it performs off net.

But I’m a rain customer … have the payg sim with a balance of R0 since 2021

I didn’t use my rain account email to sign up for the beta it was another email

Maybe that’s why I didn’t get the beta invite

I have a rain account with a 4G service, my dad uses the sim.
I signed up for the beta with that account but maybe its for 5G users only atm

I have the 5G premium for the past year and no invite this side .
Would love to test this - as not enough time to game and therefore not worth it invest to hardware

I think a lot of us are in the same boat, it a great idea for the "casual gamer" to enjoy decent new games. I'm happy with 1080p, would rather spend the money on a 4k monitor if I have to vs a mad pc powerhouse.

You think about the avg working joy, to spend R60k on a gaming rig thats used for maybe 2/3 hours a day vs a service? And you can still play local games that aren't intensive on older hardware. Know what I'm choosing.

Yup, I will rather invest in a kick ass screen than buying a "budget gaming pc" for R20 000.

After I read the previous posts, I went to the GeForce NOW website, clicked on Login and it took me to the Rain login page. Allows me to login. It logs into GeForce NOW, but then when you want to select a membership, it goes to Rain and there are no options.

Not it. You'll only get the options to subscribe to the service if you received communication from rain that you have been selected for the beta. Even on the correct page if I tried with different email that's registered on rain it would not allow me to purchase, wanted me to get the 5G deal first
