Battlefield 2042 is pretty decent on high settings no DLSS or Medium with DLSS and Ray tracing on. Game is pretty fun to play also. No cheaters because of the new anti cheat system.

Cool will check it out, bit annoying I need to manually add games to library (especially if they add a new game later and I forget to check etc...)

I don't recall having to do that but maybe because I have played these games on my pc before.

I couldn't find any players on conquest though, empty servers.

For EA games, if don't have it in my physical library like it's a pass game, it doesn't pick it up properly. So I browse to the game on the EA app IN THE INSTANCE and tell it install and then press cancel. Suddenly the game appears in my library and I click play and go in.

You don't need to select install. A simple "add to library" is sufficient.

Yes the official server but if you click portal and then server browser and sort servers by ping there are a lot of za servers that are custom experiences.

There is usually 2 or more za servers with 128 players.

Hmm OK well give it a go again, was surprised and didn't clearly see a server browser so thought was one of those auto match only ones.

My profile in the EA app shows this which means I just launch all the EA supported games on GFN using the EA App. It's pretty easy. Am I missing something?

I'm not too sure , but that's how I did it , I had to individually add the games I wanted to play to have their licenses when launching them on GFN via the EA APP

Just to give my feedback as well. Played at around 2:30 - 3:15 am earlier this morning. Tried CS2 first, was silky smooth. No input lag or anything, I did notice that only casual matchmaking and deathmatch are available (no ranked or premier). But still, for someone who wants to play the game or on LAN, but dont have a decent machine to run it, its perfect.

I then tried Asetto Corsa Competizione. Played with my XB1 controller and man, what a blast :D Its as if I played the game locally. No input lag whatsoever and my car was going like a boeing around Spa in Belgium.

Also want to try it via Android TV tonight on my Netogy Nova, especially ACC and AEW Fight Forever (wrestling game), will also report back on my experience. Overall I'm quite impressed and I'll be happy with the priority tier for R80-85 a month :)
Think you should realistically expect around R200 to R350 per month, mate.

Lol, so my boyfriend also got an invite for the GFN beta and he tried to sign up earlier this week, but the signup did not allow him to select the priority plan. Rain phoned him yesterday and told him that they saw that he tried to sign up, but they then said that he will have to wait a bit as they had to temporarily suspend further signups due to a breach in the beta signup system :sneaky:

Yeah, thats wishful thinkng on my part. Think the amount you mentioned is definitely more realistic.
The Rand is quite volatile and relatively weak currently, but I am hoping the Priority tier is no more than R199/month. Realistically it will unfortunately be more than R200 when you factor in that they have to cater for backup power on a daily basis and that after the global GFN price increases, the priority tier in most regions already costs over R200 per month when doing a direct currency conversion. Hopefully we can also subscribe for 6 months at a time and get a discount for subscribing longer term like in other regions.

Teraco has sufficient back up power, why would Rain need to cater for it?

I was playing CS2 on GFN and wow it's very similar to Native and I was hitting my shots
What are the specs of your native machine? CS2 was playable for me but nowhere near what my PC is capable of, just too much latency.

Depends what their strategy is really , Quality or quantity , Prioriy should be maximum R100- R120 if they want to appeal to the masses and recoup via high numbers . R200 a month is steep considering you have to own the games to play them eg paying for gamepass unless there is a free tier. Majority won't be able afford that but again it's wishful thinking . I hope rain is reading this thread .

You could be right but I might actually die if they charge anything close to R200 for Priority, considering the one and a half hour playtime (which I'm hoping is only for the beta), the weaker rigs, ECT. And people who can't afford a gaming setup are very likely not be able to afford 200-350 a month plus getting game pass for extra games. It would be so unaccessable for most of South Africa
