Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

Played some Starfield the other night now that the new patch has dropped. Still have to sacrifice quite a bit to get 60fps consistently with the 3060. Even DLSS balanced and medium settings still hovering in the 50-60fps range.

Cant find it on GFN tho, is anoyone playing it right now?
Its currently in the “onboarding phase”, I dont know GFN lingo… but its basically a phase where they are loading it up on the PC’s and what not. Dunno where the above user got 7pm from, but it can be released today or anytime this week as they didnt say today specifically.

Edit: Games usually launch same day as onboarding phase, but games like these will definitely stir up some traffic to GFN, so preparation might take longer.

COD just showed up on my GFN.

But I'm a bit confused about this whole "Call of Duty HQ" thing.
It essentially seems like a launcher for MW2, MW3 and Warzone in one.

But may need to buy MW2 and MW3 separately?
When clicking GET on the "Call Of Duty" game in GFN, it goes to the Steam page for CoD HQ/MW3.

So for R1379 on Steam, that clearly gets you MW3. But does that also include MW2?
I want to start with MW2 only if I have to buy them separately, but if I buy MW2 and not the item at the link from GFN (CoD HQ MW3), would GfNOW still allow me to launch MW2?

Perhaps we should be starting a dedicated thread for this

Edit: So the Call Of Duty Launcher works on GFN without any purchases on Steam. But now if anyone can kindly point me in the direction of how to play the MW2 campaign on GFN... and also for the cheapest price possible, I'd appreciate it.

Seems it may be about R1255 here? https://store.steampowered.com/sub/783409/

Yes I know its all confusing, MW2 MW3 and WZ uses the same engine hence same launcher but its also just stupid. Games launch from the HQ. I suggest you maybe buy MW3 as it has a way better multiplayer… but MW2’s campaign is better than MW3’s 4 hour campaign… If you are just looking for MP, i suggest MW3. Or wait till a free weekend and see if you like MW3.
Overall, just buy the game on the steam app locally first so when you launch the game it recognizes you own MW2 or MW3.

Edit: Regarding if MW2 and MW3 is the same, its not. MW3 is a standalone game, meant to be a DLC for MW2, but Activisions greedy higher ups made it a $70 game with a 4/10 rating.

Anyone else warzone game freeze every 10 seconds or so? Maybe that it’s still new and working out a few kinks

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah the campaign is why I want to start with MW2 before considering 3.

You need to wait for the shader optimization to complete and I modified the graphics a bit. Enabled dlss balanced with graphics on like medium/basic setting.

Thanks will give it a try tonight

For me, the shader optimization was stuck on 0% for at least 10 minutes, then 1% for at least another 10mins.
Got impatient and just went into Warzone at that point... gameplay was smooth regardless.
Maybe the optimisation finished in the background but I never saw it go above 1% when looking at it.

Yes this definitely, the RTX 3060 can handle High settings; but turn DLSS on. As long as you get above 60fps it should be fine, since we can only run 60fps for now till the Ultimate tier comes out. I get around 80fps, you can also benchmark when you scroll to the bottom of the gamemodes.

Theres a option in settings that can “Restart the shader compilation ” when you are stuck, it requires a restart but it usually fixes it. Takes about 10-20 minutes to finish

So as I mentioned above the MW2 campaign is my biggest drawcard here, hence wanting to get that one.

But I'm curious regarding your comment about getting MW3 if wanting to play multiplayer.. is that just because it's the newest and therefore the servers would be the most busy?

Cause I assumed there would still be a good number of people playing multi-player on MW2 too... or nah?
