Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

Spent a bit of time to get this thing running but I really love it.
Managed to setup my own 3080 tier for the next 2 months or so since Rain is taking their sweet time to launch the whole thing.
They also have local servers?

Your host PC is the server.
So you download and setup Sunshine on the host then you install moonlight on the client so you can game.

In my case, I have Sunshine running on a VPS that has almost RTX 3080 levels of performance and moonlight is on my laptop (the same one I use for GeForce Now).

Anyone tried gaming via mobile? I assume with a docked blue tooth joypad?
YEAH! I tried on a tablet but it wasn't as good as I hoped because my tablet doesn't have WiFi 6E support so it's wasn't as stable as my phone, and it's runs really well! sometimes I don't even use the controller and I use on screen controls when in too lazy to connect controlles, but I wish you could configure the size, position, and transparency of on screen controls!

I played Fortnite on my phone to test it out and Fortnite detected that I was playing on a mobile device, so I could play with the mobile UI with touch gestures. A Bluetooth controller will definitely be the best way to play on a tablet or phone. Worked very well with no noticeable lag, but you will need a new gen router and phone supporting WiFi 6 to have the best experience.

What VPS are you using? Before GFN I was using Nvidia GameStream since 2019 to stream games from my PC to Moonlight clients as well as my Nvidia Shield TV box and it worked well - even when streaming to clients connected via the internet. I haven't installed Sunshine after they discontinued GameStream earlier this year, so nice to hear that you are getting good performance.

My router is is up to scratch wifi use, just never thought of gaming such on my phone but it could be very nice for my kids.

I wonder, can a account be shared in the same household? Look for the price its not a issue right now but in future?

Which machine type? I do not use GCP, but I use AWS a lot at work. It will be interesting to see how such a setup will work in the cloud.
I'm using the 'g2-standard-12' machine type. It's got 12 vCPUs, 48gb ram and is using the Nvidia L4 for the GPU.
It's under the Accelerator-optimized machine type family.
It works really really well.

Besides the Nvidia Shield, has anyone been successful in getting it to work on their Android TV / Google TV boxes?

No luck for me on the Maverick 4K android box. Meh.

I can only recall one time where there were 9 people or so ahead of me but besides that time, there are never queues.

EU has had 1 or 2 servers go down in the past couple of weeks (1 in EU North west is still down), couple that with the Fortnite kiddies and the release of that new chapter, and you have those type of queues.
Cool, thanks.

I just tried this and got it working! Really good thing for people trying to experience cloud gaming!
Edit: Didn't really take me long to setup too

PSA for folks who might be keen to try this:

I see Google offers $300-$400 credits for free to try out the service for 90 days.

That should allow you to use a nice powerful server like @tm458 's for mahala for 3 months (if you don't leave the server running 24/7)
