nVidia GTS250 vs ATI 5770

I agree on getting a good PSU upfront. My Corsair HX650 has a 7 year warranty.

I'm actually considering swapping down my PSU. It's really overkill for my needs.

im sure he's not getting a better psu because it's not in the budget. If he could spend an extra 1K on a PSU, he should rather spend that 1K on a better GPU! :)

But anyways, I'm going to again go ahead and recommend the Vantec ION2+ PSUs. They really are good, I owned one myself, the 520W version, and powered a 4890 with it with no problems at all. And the 4890 has a much bigger power draw than the 5770.

Remember, amps on the +12v rails are more important than wattage. That Vantec also came with 2 6-pin connectors.

Well my 750w corsair cost 1.1k and it has a 5 year warranty so i think that it is damn good, not modular but i don't care :D.

Corsair TX750 has 5 year warranty? That thing just keeps impressing me more and more.. Best of all, a review I read said it is capable of pulling up to 900W if needed..

During our tests we could pull up to 900 W at 45Âş C. So you will be basically buying a 900 W power supply paying the price of a 750 W one.

I've got a GTS250 and honestly its a great card, but i think the 5770 is a bit better

ronald911- firstly u don't jus pick a card , u have to answer a few questions.↲1. What screen resolution are u gonna use ? Eg for a 22 inch 720p anything above a 5850 is overkill↲2. Are u willing to pay for a 500+ watt power supply? Needed for higher end cards↲3. What cpu u got ? Again don't get a fancy card if u got a lousy cpu eg P4↲4. Is noise an issue ? The 4890 for eg was very audible when watching a movie (read reviews to get an idea(↲5. Is the power bill an issue?

with 2x24" monitors in eyefinity you want something more beefy than 2x5750's tbh. Rather get a 5870 minimum. Look what happens at 2560 to the 5750's on FC2.
