Black or White? Malema does not care, he only cares about himself, it's an illussion that he is serving the youth. But I do not think that Malema sang that song to incite violence but to create a greater distraction from government failures. I think that you have not investigated it for yourself.

Do some maths... if 80% of the farms have WHITE owners, then 80% of farm attacks will be against whites, 20% will be other.... it has less to do with race and more with random probability.

Actually, that's a good idea. If they are all in a group then they can protect each other but can it be practically done though? What will be needed for it to work?

It would be far too expensive to implement. If the farmer lived away from the farm then all the equipment would also have to be stored somewhere else to avoid theft. Building facilities for this is just not practical.

There are 2 issues at hand.. there are Farm killings, and Malema's 'kill the boer' incitement. Farm killings have always been a problem, even before he was a mistake in his fathers balls, but if the 'Boer' farm attacks increase after his statements - then Malema must be shot in the big toe and left to bleed to death.

No, it is a silly idea. Most farmers start working at 5 o'clock in the mornings and they work until after sundown. Malema and his cronies will get them at the farms then they work. The best solution is to bring back the commandos and organise the communities.

The entire problem with this line of argument is the interpretation of "Boer". "Boer" - within the context of the hate song - does not translate into "farmer", it means "white colonialist". The Boer War was not fought between the British and Afrikaans farmers, it was the British against the settlers who would later become Afrikaners.

Quick definitions on the web give:
Afrikaner: a white native of Cape Province who is a descendant of Dutch settlers and who speaks Afrikaans
OR
A Dutch colonist or descendant of a Dutch colonist in South Africa.

Making it distinctly about white FARMERS is defining it too closely. When Malema sings "kill the boer" he means "kill the whites".

I guess its kind of shell within your house that will buy you time for help to arrive. An alarm is a must have, motion detectors in the ceiling and throughout the house. Keep the trellidoor locked when you sleep and if need be, you can rush into the room and slam the door shut in an emergency. I've seen a few houses like this, its just to buy you time really.

Having a trellidor in the passage leading to the bedrooms is fairly common. Unfortunately a lot of attack happen when the criminals innocently knock on the door and ask for work or something. Then they jump you.

My opinion is that the way to handle it is to never report it. Just make sure they don't live to see the sun rise.
