NZB Sites

I gave up on usenet, bought account with usenetbucket over December and just got too many failed downloads and once downloaded had to run par repairs etc.

Since switching to VPS with rTorrent no issues finding anything and retrieving files is a cinch with sftp.
 
I switched over from torrents to usenet (sickbeard and SABnzbd) a long time ago.
Currently I am using usenetbucket.com at €2.95 (R40.19) a month and I seldom have problems except if the file is really old.

I will have look at sonarr, look interesting.

I am a user of NZB-SA and i can assure you that all our files are 100% all passworded files have the password in the NFO which people seem to miss we do get FAKE's not all nzb's are 100% but our FAKES get removed ASAP to insure that all members are satisfied with there files and we have a very lovely community that will help you when we can. If you go to staff we there are a variety of people that can help you.

You mentioned recently..... The reason why they are passworded is to prevent it from getting removed from usenet. Look at the NFO's the passwords are there and most of the time it's the same password.
 
Invite would be appreciated guys. I used to have a nzbsa account, but I somehow got knocked off
 
I always used nzb.su, my membership is going to expire soon.
what sites are you guys using?
should i upgrade nzb.su, or try a new site?
or maybe just stick to free ones.....

I recently joined NewzTown and I'm on the probation account...if anyone would be so kind enough to hook me up with an invite to "upgrade" to a normal account. I would really appreciate it. :)

Any recommendations on paid for news servers? There were a local one recently but I cannot seem to recall its name.

I already have a Newtown.co.za account as indexer (any other recommended ones would help), just need the Server now.

I have been using UsenetBucket now for close to 2 years and zero issues or downtime I remember and R120 for 3 months service works for me.

UsenetBucket worked for me for about a week, then all went to hell. Could not authenticate my account, and when it did the downloads failed or was out of server retention period. Support suggested lowering number of connections and a few other fixes, nothing worked. Gave up after a while. Tried the account toward the end of the 3 month period, same problems again after 2 days.

I still use nextgennews and never really have any failed downloads or authentication issues. I must preface that by saying their support is crap as of late.

If the file is older than 1100 days or the host received a DMCA notice then nothing to be down about that, but it's weird how our experience differs so much, I haven't ever seen a failed download with UsenetBucket and the only time SABnzbd shows an average below 1.0MB/s is when I throttle it.

Maybe ISP related.

It's possible, also possible that it's an isolated incident with my account, I don't know. Just thought I'd give another perspective.

I just found it strange that they could not get it fixed for me.
