If you're on Openweb GOLD you can do what you want. It's one of the reasons I'm with them.

It won't and they won't, ISP's very quickly caught o to that and added a list of it addresses and server addresses into the shaping list along with the p2p and nntp protocols, so unless you using a news server not on that list ssl will be as shaped as not.

Remember, it stops them from seeing what's on the connection, does not stop them from seeing the connection itself. SSL news servers are no longer as useful as they used to be, you just have to be smart about it, don't abuse and do us the free ones they give you, they actually do care less about those as it costs them less for you to use that over the paid ones.

I am with axxess, did 266gb with them last month, no shaping at all, Telkom started sharing at 250gb I know. Openweb I will not touch with a 100ft pole, they may be better now, but they pissed me off more than enough when I was a client and I see no reason to pay more when there is absolutely nothing wrong with what I have now.
