My wife recently started watching the series Smash. It's not a very old series, currently still showing in SA. Can you find and download the 720p version of S01 E01 please...and post download times.

Sorry full line speed minus uploading is slower than full line speed without uploading? No bru. Go get soulseek, way better for music than torrents.

Both nzb and torrents are fine but nzb is superior. Fast and no uploading. I would feel dirty downloading a torrent without giving back but with nzb's there isn't that feeling.

Either way nzb is better than torrents in many instances, with nearly 2000 day retention now, you go find me a torrent that will have seeders after 2000 days.

Just a question, why would I care about streaming something instantly on a torrent, when it is released between 3-5am SA time?

I don't know about you guys, but I am usually fast asleep at those hours, unless some random emergency at work happen, in which case I won't be watching anything either. May as well download it, a HD episode still downloads in less than an hour, if not far less, usually by the time I get back home, stuff has already downloaded, sorted and renamed and indexed into xbmc with sickbeard.

As for nzbs.org, it still works for me. Logs on my Sickbeard proves it is still working, and if you still don't believe me, visit http://nzbs.org/profile and log in, and tada the website still works fine, just don't try to go to the home page, everything else still works 100%.
 
NZB's in general are superior, much more content available, faster speeds.
Lots of things I could never get on torrents, on NZB's they are all there.
But i will say that torrents are better for music
 
morning everyone,
I have just one question - with nzb downloads (using Sickbeard and SABNZB), I never had a problem with downloading the wrong file or downloading a file requiring some "activation" or "password".
When you download using torrents, where do you go for "reliable" files? Someone mentioned that downloading a HD movie that is 500mb is the most frustrating thing. I would like to try torrents but don't want virusses and incorrect files.
Any advice?
 
ive been using nzbplanet.net (nzbs.co.uk) its got a kind of matrix feel :)
 
Still new to nzbs, SAB, Sbeard and Cpotato, but so far I like the way everything is automated...
Torrents are just to slow compared to NNTP.


Quick question: will enabeling SSL improve speed, as your ISP can't see what your data is, to shape you?

Some ISPs don't take very kindly to you using NNTP over SSL (cough - Mweb - cough). I've been using SSL for the majority of the time just because I like the idea of it being encrypted and no other reason.

Any emails yet? I want it for the same reason - especially if it's faster, too.
