Try put.io and use the subscription option. I use this site to get my rss feed for the latest series I watch: http://showrss.karmorra.info/rss.php?user_id=98688&hd=null&proper=null&namespaces=true&magnets=true

Mike would have chosen the worst ever album to get :( The download is slow. Only 1.7MB/s :( Its still got 9 min left :( 6 seeds. Bah.

Already looked at that option - unfortunately can't afford both a news server subscription and this. Still get very good use of my Newsdemon account, if DMCA takedowns become too hectic will look at my options again. Of course it would be even better if we could get something like Netflix or Amazon Prime, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I used to Netflix but the stuff was to far behind for me. I used to proxy into it. Also, netflix doesnt work with my xbmc. Put.io has a plugin that lets me stream it straight to my tv.

Slow tech? I have never had anything but flatout speeds over many years on various news servers - Giganews, Supernews, Newshost, Easynews. And you don't HAVE to use .nzbs either.

Yeah slow tech.
Im sure your download speeds are great. Not arguing that. Glad you like nzb`s, good for you. Get there are still DCC servers out there that go at high speed as well.

You still have to download a nzb before you can watch it. I can choose any of the latest releases and start watching pretty much immediately. Ill use a nzb any day I can, when I cant find what I want through my normal means. Just ... its too slow for me unless I have to.
 
Is www.zbigz.com not also a decent option for remaining "behind the curtain" and getting decent torrent speeds? I used it in Singapore and got incredible download speeds through them. Here in SA though I get about a quarter of my line speed with a quick test.

Anyone else using them?

Not yet, Does the premium service have decent functionality?

Im want best value for money so Ive always got an eye out for a better service.

Put.io comes with video streaming (like youtube), mp4 conversion, streaming (for like vlc or android or xbmc) and a download link (which you can multithread like a ho for full http speeds). The download link has an original link and the converted mp4.

I do however only get 50GB cloud storage for $9 :(

Is zbigz a better service? Think Ill sign up and check it out. Ty for the link.
 
I signed up for the free option some time ago, used Internet Download Manager for multi-threaded downloads and it blazed through at lightning speed, helped mostly by a competent ADSL infrastructure in Singapore (100Mbps). I had no need to try the premium version so can't help you there but let us know what you think...

EDIT: I see storage size for premium is unlimited, and video and audio streaming is also available...

Piracy is not going away ever.
Right now there are guys sharing files over WUGs, VPN's, DC++, Retroshare (Darknet), etc....
Those will most likely never be eradicated.
And for every technology that gets attacked, another one will spring up.
For every website or server that gets shut down, ten more start up.
As long as content is being created and as long as a means exists to record and copy that content, piracy will always exist.
The only way these big media companies will ultimately win this war is to provide their content in a quick and easy manner at a competitive price.
Until the realise that, they are ultimately wasting money, and fighting a losing battle.

Well-seeded torrents are fine, but it's not unusual to find ones that slow to a crawl and then take weeks, even months, to finish or in some cases never.

Also if you look at something like Pirate Bay you have a bunch of monkey uploaders that think a 500Mb movie can legitimately be called HD. There's even one nimrod that encodes hour long TV series down to 50Mb. The open torrent sites tend to be like that, mostly low quality.

I'd only be willing to pay the same as what something like a news server would cost. That translates to something like 20 movies for $10. An additional requirement is that I must be able to keep it and watch when I want. If I could get anything I wanted in HD for a low monthly subscription and no restrictions on when, where or how often I watch it then I'd go for it. Their choice - get nothing or get a steady flow of money from many people. Personally I don't care whether they get paid if they want to be shortsighted and greedy.

I don't use .nzbs - not sure what gave you that idea. Me myself, I'm not into all the latest stuff ( 'cept Survivor, which will be up on Easynews the morning after the USA showing ;) ). Torrents for "not the latest stuff" are just a fat pain - one seed in Mongolia on a dial-up so it seems, who is connected only four hours a day. With Usenet there is no need to waste bandwidth uploading to some other tosser, nor to technically break the copyright criminal law by distributing via said tosser uploads.

Dont do any of that either. As I just demonstrated with the Helmet Lotti stuff. Normal torrenting is legacy stuff for me as well. Im in the cloud torrenting and getting my stuff faster. It works for me. Nzbs are too slow.
