Morning Glory?
Coldplay...a mediocre band with mediocre music.
the same 5 cords.
the same lyrical themes.
the same tempo.
in terms of brit pop they were the best selling but by no means the best.
and when you compare them to other similar non brit pop bands at the same time in the post grunge era again, there are better selling and better sounding acts out there.
Radiohead, Bush, Seether, The butterfly effect, breaking Benjamin, Coldplay, Kayne, Placebo
all of those are the same time, and similar sounds without resorting to the same 5 cords, while exploring more lyrical themes.
but outside of the fact that they are the musical equivalent of a wet rag lying on the floor what I have always disliked most about them is the attitude they have. maybe its only one of them that has the attitude problem, maybe its both. but they still have a higher opinion of themselves then the music is backing up.
Coldplay...
also a band I am not at all a fan of, but at least they have more things they sing about than Oasis and they use more than 5 chords to write songsColdplay...
and then there is Judas priest. sur Rob Halford does not look like he did in the first music video (breaking the law 1980) or from Painkiller in 1990 but crown of horns (2024) you can still hear that his voice has not changed over time.Quite a few 'ol ballies are "reuniting", but you can clearly hear the difference when someone is using false teeth. But goodness, drugs have not been kind to their faces.
Yeah but they never stopped. There was a period where they went downhill but came up again. Their latest shows have been really good.even Metallica have been going since 1983 and do not look that bad.

Lol non of them have an MTV unplugged performance where the lead singer didn't perform and was drunk heckling from the balcony and still the performance ends on many an MTV best of unplugged lists.a mediocre band with mediocre music.
