hi all

iam currently on a 2gig international and a 28 gig local with openweb
i want to change to something so i can browse international and do want i want to do with out being restricted by a cap

so there is the 384 uncapped from openweb with a 5gig 10day threshold and a 15 gig a month threshold and then theres ODS with a 384 fiber plus uncapped with no threshold there is a R215 difference between the two.

apprently my router does support thie L2TP so i wont have to pay for the setup fee.

but what iam conserned about is i'll be paying so much but only use say maybe 30gigs or something i mean iam not sure how much bandwith i will be useing if that makes sence.

can you please advise?

thank you
Angelus

thnx

i like this about ODS

We offer 24/7 on-site support, Because we come to you, there is no longer a need for you to unplug your computer and take it to your local pc shop to be repaired.

I fiind that hard to believe (infact I don't believe it at all). It would only be viable to ODS for people living in certain areas. I can't picture anyone going out at 1am on a sunday morning into the middle of nowhere to repair some farmers computer, for example.

believe it.

We have contracted a company called " Geeks On Call " to do this, to be honest the charge on a Sunday night would be high, but we will be their.

hi there

what i would like to know is how does the ODS backbone compare to IS or SAIX

Online Digital Solutions Fiber plus packages (Online Digital Solutions backbone)

and does a persons location affect the service because ODS seems to be based in jhb seeing the tel numbers are all 011 ?

also does ODS offer newsgroup access?

At the end of the day all the IP (IPC) is connected in JHB. So even if you are in CPT your ADSL bandwidth will still come to JHB, we allow it to come to our IPC link via the SAIX network in JHB as SAIX have the best backbone between city's in South Africa, at this point Telkom handover it to our IPC where we manage the bandwidth (Purchased through multiple ISP's) in order to ensure a good quality service

Ordered a 512k fiber plus from ODS yesterday and will report back as soon as its up and running

Is it even possible that Roo has used their new uncapped fibre service longer than a week, considering it was just unveiled?

or now lacks the back bone to spill it out factually

Yeah, been told that it would take 6 hours to setup................still waiting.
