sunday is coming up....![]()
Quite frankly I've seen enough posts about the company and its conduct to make my decision to ever use them.
In all fairness, it's been much better this weekend. Connection is much more stable, 'cept for the fact that my torrents NEVER go above 14k
Other than that, it looks like it's taking a turn for the better. *touch wood*
I spoke way too soon...
Connection just crapped out on me. I did a speed test on speedtest.net and got 35kpbs download speed, upload didn't even work...
WoW pings are at 13000ms...
Can anyone please suggest another ISP. I think I've tried long enough to get this sorted. It's time to move on. I am looking for something similar to ODS' Fibre plus offering - only without all the crap.
Uncapped, unshaped for round about R1500 a month. RELIABILITY is an absolute must!!! I am supposed to be working, but my VPN connection to work is absolutely useless on this connection.
*sigh*
Edit:
They've gone COMPLETELY off the cliff now!
No one is doing ANYTHING about my connection. The support guy's phone is off now and I still have a pathetically slow connection. This is SUCH bull!!!![]()
.theres always the small claims court or ICASA(?); no services as promised - damages claim. In right you shouldn't pay them for this month, no services rendered no pay. are you connection even a fiber, maybe its also some backwater washed business uncapped being reselled as "fiber"
i would say go with webafrica or openweb - they atleast remember that they have customers and must render some service instead of just /ignore customer
you could always just go IS direct

TheYak - theres a great thread in the gaming forum about which ISP to use based on WoW latencies. I think WebAfrica came up tops.
I've used IS uncapped/unshaped and wasn't that impressed. my two year contract actually ended 2 months ago and i havent renewed. However in all fairness it was extremely reliable....
