Office printer/scanner replacement

Anybody have any experience with a brand/model they'll recommend?
I can clean and swap toner etc but will need a place to take it to or call out should it break.

Currently we are using a rental Triumph Adler P-4026iw,
but due to the costs and issues with maintenance we will not be renewing the contract.
Hence our office needs a new networked printer scanner combo.

If they don't print much, a Epson InkTank will work well.

What are the major needs. How many pages per month?

Few 100+-

Does it need a sheet feeder for the scanner?

Let's say yes but just for convenience sake.


Being IT I can setup it myself. Support will come down to fixing things that break, which I don't want to do.

The problem comes in when they charge so much per month you can replace the entire machine every 3 months.

I replaced our B&W rental laser with a Brother inktank from makro. Made up the purchase price on the first three months, so now it's savings all the way. Plus we can print colour.

No, I'm giving my opinion on the HP controversy.
Can you imagine having to pay a monthly fee, after paying for the printer and ink, just for it to work?

Also, anywhere I can get it for cheaper? I am done paying R1000 for a set of cartridges on my R1000 Canon printer twice a year.

Go for it. It is almost R400 more expensive on the distributor's price list.

I've got the T720DW at both home and office. Been really happy with them.
