Official 10.7 Lion Thread...

I've also got it, unfortunately it's not working on Hackintosh yet! Need a real mac.

Latest reports say that Rosetta will definitely be dropped completely. This is a bit of bad news for me. It means I will have to upgrade my CS suite at a cost of close on R10K just to run it on Lion. That means if I buy a new machine, the cost will be R10K more to stay where I am. It is something that really annoys me about Adobe. CS3 runs perfectly without Rosetta but you need Rosetta to install it. So I can upgrade my current MBP as CS3 is already installed. But the hell with a new MBP.

Wonder if it would be possible to install from the SL DVD seeing it's a user space app.

I wish they would put in a shortcut to close windows from within Exposé. Like holding in Alt, as it works in Dashboard.

I got Lion, it takes some getting used to, especially the backwards scrolling and the new Finder. A lot of apps are improved: iCal, Safari, Finder, Preview, XCode etc etc Gimme a shout if you wanna try it.

Will try ha! My sister won't be too chuffed if she can't run Macromedia Freehand! I suppose you can run the Windows one in Parallels. Not an ideal solution though.

Well just read this page on Macrumors forum, if you go to post 8, they already tried installing Rosetta, PowerPC apps still don't work.

I think macboer is going to strip his moer.

Well maybe someone out there hacks it and makes it work.

Read somewhere that Lion also drops support for Core Duo and Core Solo processor based Macs.

I was prepared to be outraged until I realised I'm still running 10.5 on my Mini, the only core duo machine I've got. :)
