Happy with the win but still a ways to go. At least there was more 'as a unit' play today. Also glad Fatt Stevens wasn't playing today. Now if we can just get SP the hell out .........
 
First half the Cheetahs played terrible rugby and we did ok. Second half Brussauw (sp?) single handedly turned the tide and we really battled.

I am still not convinced by this Sharks side. Thumping a woeful Cheetahs side doesn't mean much.

Was nice to put a team away and get the bonus point though.

Breath-taking stuff. They taught the Crasaders a lesson. Hard as it was to take, one just had to appreciate excellence in action.

The Chiefs have this strong motivation&understanding because they share a common purpose. They like to think of themselves as "THE" indegenous side of NZ rugby. When an indigenous player of star status&high profile like SBW chooses them other than everyone else because he shares that common understanding it takes them up a level. It produced the same results last time, and they ar eon course for a repeat this season too.

Ugly rugby and Cheetahs don't often belong in the same sentence. I've always wondered what really goes on when a team turns up after a week's preparation and they look so under-prepared. Have to blame the coach/captain's pre-match talk. What else could it be?
 
PSDT out for up to 8 months apparently!! So unlucky!! SA sports rehabilitation lagging behind the rest of the world.
 
Hope against all hope that the sources are wrong and the scans give a better outlook, such an immense player :(
 
Du Toit's RWC dream in tatters

Cape Town - Springbok and Sharks lock Pieter-Steph du Toit is not expected to recover in time for this year's Rugby World Cup after picking up a knee injury.

The 22-year-old injured his knee ligaments in the Sharks' 27-10 Super Rugby win over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein at the weekend.

According to the supersport.com website, Du Toit suffered a ligament tear on the same knee which ruled him out for most of the 2014 season.

He will not be available for the rest of the year, the website reports.

The highly rated Du Toit played two Tests for the Springboks in 2013.

Sigh, 3 big losses to injuries and 3 Boks forced to rest in a game against the Chiefs ...... bleak
 
Alberts, PSdT and Mtembu - injured
Lambie, Beast, Jannie - Bok rest

may be wrong on Beast or Jannie being force rested but I know it's 3 players regardless

Jannie's just come back from a rest. He didn't play against The Stormers so you should have him available. Not sure if Beast was injured or also being rested, but he also didn't play against the Stormers.
