Anyone heard || read || smelled anything that the DROID is coming to SA? This video makes me really lust this phone

For once a review is all about the actual demo's rather than thier own biased opinion.

Running the Magic with an (Un)Official Sense ROM at the moment but still I NEED THIS PHONE.

Yes it did, had tried it before and it didn't work but on my second attempt using a different PC it worked. I was actually just about to post here saying that I sorted it out. Thanks anyways.
 
It will a way to go before it can beat the likes of NDrive though. At least we can get street by street directions now on google maps.

guys ive had hero for a couple weeks now.... cant express how amazing this device is. ive done all the wm symbion iphone thing already.
 
any one know when the droid is getting released and what the pricing details will be like?
 
got the htc hero for a week now. amazing. awesome. im so sold on it im pledging allegiance to all things android and htc, a match mad in heaven... lol...

ps anyone know how i can get ndrive?
 
seems there are some other ways to find ndrive. seems to be pretty widely available now via a good google search.
 
I think this thread just convinced me to get the Hero instead of Satio/Touch Diamond 2:D Can't wait looks like such an awesome phone. I've got about 3 weeks to wait still:erm:
 
I see talks about Android 2.0 released soon. Did I miss the boat on 1.6 (Or Donut as I think they nicknamed it) ?

Wouldn't be the first time the world passed me by :-)

No HTC decided to skip 1.6 on the Hero and just go to 2.0 directly.:p
 
Can someone please point me in the direction to get Ndrive for my HTC Dream please, with SA Maps?

Ive googled it and came across a forum and the rapidshare links, but those links doesnt want to download!:(

Please if anyone can help me out I will appreciate it!

Hey guys, I've got a htc dream I updated the firmware to 1.5 but noticed a few problems while charging. The 1st is that if my battery is about 2% and I charge it while the phone is on it takes about 5 hours to reach 100% is this normal? The second thing is that when I used to charge my phone the charge light went from red to orange to green. Now it just goes from orange to green. If I charge my phone while its off it takes about 2 hours to reach 100% but then the battery drains quite quickly. And of course no softkeyboard any1 else experience these problems?

hey riaan

a bit of rotten luck. most ndrive software online has been shifted/removed. i also went thru that hassle and finnaly got everything done...

use www.noeman.org/gsm.

they have a thread there with downloads/install.

ps remember... buy the official software if you like trying the download... :P
its the right thing to do...
 
seems like the hero has just picked up gadget of the year, and phone of the year awards
