Please help, someone... !!!!!!

I have run the radio update.
Now the phone said 'reboot'. So I did.

It then went to the next screen which was a box with something coming out.
I left it for 5 minutes.
I came back and the recovery screen came up with the message "Formatting cache..."

It has been like that for about 1 hour.

Is something wrong? What do I do now?
It seems like it is stuck.
:(

Please could someone assist me?
:(

ok yeah i also panicked when the formatting cache took forever

i also left it for like half and hour then realized there is no possible way it is formating
so i scrolled with the roller ball to reboot phone and ta da it was fine

I just did that, but it's taking FOREVER to boot.
It is now on the HTC glowing screen..

Lol, it will take a long time to boot I think. I can't remember what happened when I flashed the radio... There was a time when mine just went into this boot loop and displayed the boot logo's the entire time and never actually booting. So I did a wipe I think! Keep us updated.. Your phone sounds okay. If the radio was bricked you would never even see the boot screens.

holding thumbs....

racking my brains too here. i think mine also took forever to boot, i waiting long time just to make sure then i think i pulled batt.

jis dude hope it works

OK here's good news and bad news..

GOOD

It's working. Wireless is fine. Haven't tested GPS.

BAD

It's a bit 'laggy' now.
Need to reinstall my apps. :(
Lost a couple apps that were in the Modaco ROM. (voice search, Spare Parts etc.)
WIFI Tethering is gone.

It seems like I may have to reinstall the MODACO 3.0 ROM...
:(

such as? maps and google voice etc you must just install off the folder on your SD

Yes you can do that, the easiest will probably be via Nandroid backup to go back.

@ Identity did you do a wype before installing Modaco like he said you should do if you come from a "virgin" hero?

izak... if i do another nandroid backup, will it overwrite the old one or just keep making new ones?

This is what I did:

Installed recovery.
Did Nandroid backup.
Loaded Modaco ROM (3.0)
Did Nandroid backup.
Loaded Wavesecure ROM (was the optional one)
Did Nandroid backup.
Loaded latest Radio.

A wipe was performed before all loads.

It will keep making new ones because the date will differ. But I remove all my backups and put it on my PC anyway. You should do that as well and keep them very safe. Especially the shipping rom.

@ Identity it sounds like you did it right. If I was you I'll do a wipe and load Modaco again, with kernel 1.91 and do not use Apps2SD unless you have class 6 card. The phone should be snappy not laggy! :wtf:

Did you wipe before the WaveSecure too?? :wtf: I hope not because that's only a patch not a ROM.

Nope the Radio will always stay the same unless you flash the radio again.
