Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

I know we complain about every new release and yes I will be the first to admit that BO has the most issues between it and MW2.

But looking back I dont think MW2 had half of the problems than BO.
I see there is a couple of people going back to MW2 and that is sometimes not a bad idea considiring all the faults with BO.

But if BO is not the sollution and MW2 either what else is there for us?
We dont want to play BC2 (had multiple discussions over and over) so now its the wait and see for MW3 and hope that they deliver for once.

In my oppinion COD4 must have been one of the least issues game ever for their franchise so far.
 
Acid0, I agree wholeheartedly! COD4 was my first online game, and it was a matter of install and go online and play. No issues, not disconnects, no ping issues nothing! AND I was playing on 3G at the time!

I played one or two games of MW2 on Saturday just for the hell of it and I must say - it was fun! It is SOOOOOO smooth in comparison to BO that I am considering going back full time..
 
Yes, that is currently an issue, what else is there. Played some MW2 this weekend as well, and it took me almost 15min to get a game.......:(
And my connection was only 1 red bar.....:(

Bought me MOH, and so far pretty interesting. There are however far less players, but even if you connect internationally there is almost no noticeable lag.

Well, yes, if the next game was about a month or so away, then yes, I would say, wait for mw3 or whatever. But it is in November and that is way too far away to sit with this blops crap
 
I think black ops is finally getting things right. But I think we have another 'unseen' issue... MWEB might not be able to handle all the servers? I know that we played on unranked yesterday quite a bit and the game is far better on unranked servers... No stats to update. But I noticed some server lag on a few of our ranked servers... It would make all the guys who aren't on mweb shoot up to 200-300ms ping... Then after a bit it would calm down again. Are people overseas experiencing the same problems with the latest patch?
 
Spyk3r, you might be better off asking that question on the gameservers forums. Not sure how many int's we have posting here.

I am just gatvol of all these issues. It has been 4 months now and still they can't fix the PC version? Bunch of useless cnuts!
 
The ping issue has been around since the start. We can blame Mweb, but if it is them(Mweb) we should actually blame gameservers and treyarch for allowing mweb to host!!!!:mad:

I Set mine last night to restart at 4am .... hope it improves ... BTW if you initially placed your server at (A) eg CPT and then you move it to (B) JHB, you lose all your settings .. sux. Then if you change your Gameservers password, the whole lot resets and goes back to the original location (for me CPT) and again, loses all of its settings .. sigh!
 
Please don't hate me but my game is running fine since the patch (even pre patch)
40-50 ping
90 FPS
only server side DC's and lag.
ADS is fine
mini map is fine (i've seen this complained about by some ou's)

Last man standing is still gay though... and head shots should be instant death.
 
I have a gig account with them, maybe I should try it, see if there is a difference ... uncapped shaped might be the issue?

afrihost kinda sux, im in capetown, getting 80 ping on 4mb line for cpt servers.
tho im getting 40-45 for jhb servers.gona switch to mweb next month.

Yeah, maybe should have mentioned that as well. He is in KZN and mostly playes on JHB servers, though, so far all our NGL games where on CPT servers and I don't recall him getting close to 80ms...

yeah, afrihost only gives bad ping cpt to cpt, if ur any other place the ping would be fine
